CanesSkins26 wrote:Yes, they made some mistakes ... Kerrigan can't cover worth a lick yet, Hall (despite some occasional big plays) just isn't a very good cover corner, we still can't generate consistent pressure without blitzing, etc.
However, at the end of the day the defense did not allow a single touchdown & held a good Dallas offense to only 18 points.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

No love for Fletcher? He's been doing it day in and day out for a bit longer? The Hogster wrote:He's a beast. My favorite Redskin's player since Sean Taylor.
Don't get me wrong... Kerrigan is a monster on his side... clearly making a mark in the first 3 games, but, Orakpo's been drawing holding penalties every game, and Fletcher is still just sick. That is one bad troika. I think they are ALL my favorite.

Kerrigan already IS something special. I look forward to him being amazing for us for many, many years. IMO, the defense needs a CB and depth. The personnel are pretty solid across the starting board. Very much look forward to having Jarvis Jenkins lining up next to Kerrigan next year.

From what we saw in preseason, that will just about make it impossible for the RT to expect any help from the RG... and will be a nightmare for our opponents.HarleyHog wrote:Kerrigan already IS something special. Right now, Kerrigan is the 3rd best LB on this team.Countertrey wrote:No love for Fletcher? He's been doing it day in and day out for a bit longer? The Hogster wrote:He's a beast. My favorite Redskin's player since Sean Taylor.

RIP Sean Taylor. You will be missed.

Fletcher is great, as is Orakpo. There's something about Kerrigan though. When I first saw Sean Taylor play in the preseason, I liked the way he played the game. I get a similar feeling about Kerrigan's style of play, and I think he'll become a great 3-4 LB.Countertrey wrote:No love for Fletcher? I also give a nod to players who the Skins drafted, but that's not a slight to Landry or Orakpo. They'd be 1B and 1C for me.

Jenkins was doing pretty good at all three DL positions... moving him around will driveCountertrey wrote:From what we saw in preseason, that will just about make it impossible for the RT to expect any help from the RG... and will be a nightmare for our opponents.HarleyHog wrote:Kerrigan already IS something special. I have a feeling that by the time we get to the midpoint of next year, we are going to realize that the Jenkins loss was the biggest the team had this year. Everyone is gushing over Kerrigan (rightly so), but Jenkins was clearly better earlier and would have dynamically changed the way this defense played. Recall that there seemingly were no defensive snaps in which he was on the field that you didn't hear his name mentioned. That kid will wind up being the steal of our draft this year and Better than Kerrigan, which means those 2 will be dominating together for YEARS!!1niksder wrote:Jenkins was doing pretty good at all three DL positions... moving him around will driveCountertrey wrote:From what we saw in preseason, that will just about make it impossible for the RT to expect any help from the RG... and will be a nightmare for our opponents.HarleyHog wrote:Kerrigan already IS something special. Good drafting so far. We turned the pick that ultimately became Blaine Gabbert into Kerrigan AND Jenkins. If those guys turn into Pro Bowl caliber players, that shows how the Draft is the key to building a great team. We have a full draft next year, as well.
