Last Redskins Open Practice
By Sky Kerstein
The Redskins held their last open practice to fans today as they prepare for their second preseason game and first road preseason game on Friday against the Indianapolis Colts.

James Davis, Chris Cooley, Malcolm Kelly, London Fletcher, Ryan Torain, OJ Atogwe, LaRon Landry and Kareem Moore didn’t practice today. James Davis didn’t just not practice, he wasn’t even at practice and Head Coach Mike Shanahan said on Davis, “if you see him, let me know, cause I’m wondering where he was at too, I don’t know where he was at, missing in action”. Shanahan also said that it would be “very fair to say” it was unexcused.

Chris Cooley continues to miss practice with a sore knee and is still expected to miss a few weeks. Shanahan said Malcolm Kelly’s foot is still sore and that he’ll have another MRI. Shanahan also said on Kelly, “It’s hard to make the club when you’re not practicing”.

London Fletcher is sore and Shanahan said if it was a regular season game he would play. Torain is expected to see a hand specialist tomorrow and they’ll know more then. OJ Atogwe is still day to day with soreness and LaRon Landry said he will be off the PUP list either Wednesday or Thursday and said “I will definitely play next week”. Shanahan was non-committal on Landry. Kareem Moore still has no timeline.

Listen here to what Redskins Head Coach Mike Shanahan had to say about the injury situation, quarterback play, James Davis missing practice and preparing for the Colts.
