superbowl predictions

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

I'm with you, I think the Pack will win. Not in a blowout, but not in a nail biter either. I think the Packer rush will get to Big Ben and even with his scrambling ability under fire and getting hit more then he's used to he'll struggle.
Hail to the Redskins!

I have to go with the Steelers. I want the Packers win, because I am an NFC guy, but I think that Rodgers is going to get knocked out of the game with a concussion from being hit so many times. I also was not impressed with the Pack when Bears held their offense scoreless in the second half (Second half TD came off an interception) and a third team QB nearly lead the Bears to a comeback.

I want to believe it will be a close game, but I am going to go with 23-7 Steelers. I would be happy to be way wrong on this one. We have a lot of Steeler fans at work and I really don't want to hear them on Monday morning.

I'd rather see the Packers win, but I must say that I seriously doubt whether it'll even be close. Steelers.

or what you said....

I remember when Steve Young won the SB with the 49ers, he said, get this monkey off my back. I bet Rodgers is thinking the same thing and is going to get his Favre monkey off his back. Green Bay.

I think the Steelers will win. I would rather the Packers because I honestly think Big Ben should probably be in a jail cell - I have no patience for violence towards women - but I actually like the rest of the Steelers so I suppose I will be rooting for a good game.

If Rodgers is on, the Pack will win. They will throw a lot of 4-5 WR sets and the Steelers actually have a weak overall group of CBs. 28-21 Packers.

I sure didn't pick that the half time show would be a political spectacle. Wow, I thought Obama was lame when he stopped saying government wasn't just handouts anymore, if you need "Hope" or want "Change" then your local politician is your guy. But now government is "Love?" The left has completely lost it...

1. Obama shoukd start to parpshrase Teddy Roosevelt: when corporations overpower ordinary people, the people can turn to government to even things up. As Herbert Croly said: we have to achieve Jefferson ends with Hamiltonian means.

Croly, "Promise of American Life", about 1910.

2. I don't care who won the SB as long as the Redskins didn't come close to making the playoffs. When the Redskins stop playing, it's time to tell old baseball stories about the Senators (or Nats), and to focus on the Caps.

Goal, Ovie!

Always happy to be wrong with those kinds of predictions. It's amazing how the NFC has won the last couple of Super Bowls despite as a conference looking much, much weaker than the AFC. If before the playoffs you had asked me to line up the best teams in the NFL, probably the first 5 of 6 would be AFC teams.

I agree FFA - glad the Packers won and am pleased that a 6th seed did it also

Just amazing that the Saints and Falcons lost their games - the AFC still had the better teams last year IMO .. but ..... any given Sunday

hopefully these players and owners can now resolve their issues and we can get on with trying to fix our franchise
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

It's a load, but I'm sure you're right that it would work. I'm not sure what you mean by Jeffersonian ends since he believed in small government. But that's a topic for another day
