I don't doubt that he's in better shape than he was in his 20s. Back when he played players didn't take weight training and physical fitness nearly as seriously as today's NFL players.

But I do doubt whether he has any of the explosiveness and top speed he'd need to be a true asset at RB. I suspect he'd appear slow as molasses out on the field if he stepped back on it.

This was just a publicity stunt to promote his upcoming MMA fight.

If he actually did return to football he would be broken after a couple plays at RB. It would be more likely that he could return as a LB or TE but not as a RB.
