Who else think the Packers are the hottest team in football?
After steamrolling the Falcons last night 48-21, the Packers look to be unstoppable. When they're offense is clicking like they were last night, they are without a doubt the most dangerous offense in football. Their defense is nothing to shake a stick at either. I know many would probably still pick the Pats as the best team in the league, but keep in mind, the Packers almost beat the Pats in New England, with their 2nd string QB, and several of their starters out with injuries, and they have those players back now. The Packers have peaked at the perfect time and barring any key injuries, I'm picking them to go all the way.

I often wonder whether, if Rodgers had slipped just one more spot in the draft in 2005, would the Redskins have taken him instead of Campbell? Pointless question, but it's so long since this team had a franchise quarterback, I can't help imagining this guy playing for us. Of course, he'd need all of his mobility just to stay alive behind our o-line.
As for the question that was raised, Green Bay are undoubtedly very hot right now. They won't have any fears about playing either Chicago or Seattle in the conference championship, and so I can certainly see them getting to the big game. But the Patriots and Steelers are beasts, and the Jets aren't far behind.
They COULD do it, but I'm not ready to crown them yet.

It's a great game and there are always a lot of fans that look back at history and can easily predict what will happen given all the information from games over the past 25 years - UNFORTUNATELY - none of those factors are really relevant
the 2009 Seahawks could play the 2009 Saints 100 times and lose all of them - but none of that matters - they won the 101st game last week
The Packers are okay and will be favorites next w/e - fact is none of the 3 NFC teams could beat any of the 4 AFC teams that played this weekend in the 2011 Super Bowl
and then again - look at what happened in 2009 - the Colts were a far better team than the Saints and especially with peyton Manning against a defense with DC Greg Williams - ANY GIVEN SUNDAY

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Nice fix at the end there considering Atlanta already beat the Ravens, Chicago already beat the Jets, and Green Bay already beat the Jets. I guess Atlanta doesn't count since they aren't one of the "3 NFC teams."

I couldn't disagree more. The Saints were a far better team than the Colts last year. The Colts had Payton Manning while the Saints had a whole team. Also, the Packers can beat ANY of the remaining AFC teams...
we'll see - I don't think the Packers are going to have an easy time beating the Bears at home but it will not matter - this is an AFC year for the SB

I think the Pack is at least as good as the Bears, Jets, or Steelers, but I will say this; if the Packers win next week, they will win the SB. If the Bears win, either the Jets or the Steelers will win the SB.

Jets and Packers in the SB, I think.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

The Packers might be the better team (I guess we might get a chance to see in Feb), but I thought this was about who the hottest team in football is — not who the best team was in October.

I was mearly making the point as a head-to-head comparison. There's no denying the Jets are hot too. I think it will be the Jets Packers in the SB and we shall see whose the hottest....

Bears already beat the Jets this year
It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom – for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.

Agreed, because Chicago is definitely not the real deal, IMHO.
Pittsburgh vrs Green Bay would certainly be an intriguing game - the Packers have the most NFL Championships vrs the Steelers who have the most Super Bowl rings
Green Bay vrs New York puts the 2 teams in the Super Bowl that were the 6th ranked in each conference AND the 2 teams that are playing the best right now

THeir Recievers are darn good, Donald driver is playing l;ike he's 20 yrs old. Top that off with good QB play by rodgers yah they are getting hot at the right time. I would love to see Jets vs Pack for the superbowl. Revis vs Woodson, let's see who brings it when it matters.

I'm rooting for the Pack to go all the way!!!
Second Bears, third Jets.
I don't hate the Steelers, but I'm sick of them

Again, there are 4 teams that Redskins fans should never want to win until we get our 4th ring (besides the obvious cowpunks).. NE/Oak/NYG/GB. You can throw in SF since they have 5 wit da cows. I don't necessarily want Pit to get their 7th ring but them having 6 is far anyways so if it comes down to Pit-GB.. LET'S GO PITT!!
