Two Mosses on the same team?

Redskins work out veteran wide receiver; Haynesworth shows up
by FOXSports

The Washington Redskins are one of 20 teams not to make it to the playoffs, so they begun evaluating players for next season.

The team worked out two players late last week, a source confirmed.

One of them was WR Sinorice Moss, the younger brother of Redskins WR Santana Moss.

Sinorice Moss was selected in the second round of the 2006 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, who waived him from injured reserve on Nov. 9.

Arena league S Chris Royal also worked out for the Redskins.

In other team news, DT Albert Haynesworth’s four-game suspension ended on Monday. He showed up for his exit physical on the same day.

In addition, the team re-signed six practice squad players to future contracts.

RB Shawnbrey McNeal, WRs Taurus Johnson and Maurice Price, OTs Selvish Capers and Xavier Fulton and DT Rashaad Duncan all signed deals.

He was a little unproductive, but had Toomer, Plax, and others ahead of him. There's no harm taking look at him.

The Shawnbrey McNeal signing is interesting. He started out at Miami but got burried on the depth chart/had some family issues so he transferred to SMU to be closer to home. He left SMU after his jr. year to try and help his family out financially.

In 2009 he had around 1,400 total yards and 14 td's. He is on the smaller side but the kid has good quickness and speed. He's definitely talented and hopefully he can earn some PT next year.

What's the deal with (the younger) Moss? Was he just an all around disappointment for the Giants?

Is it me or has our scouting department improved? Where are we finding some of these guys who ended the year as starters? God say it's true.
Miss you 21

 I thought the same thing, especially with the opening line of the article.

But maybe Sinorice could improve if he played alongside his brother.

One of the original sins committed by Daniel Snyder when he bought the Team was:

FIRE THE ENTIRE SCOUT DEPARTMENT inherited from the Cookes. We never recovered after that with his "talent" evaluation skills and Vinny Cerrato as a sidekick.

Are we looking at S. Moss when he could not even get a spot in a division rival team? What are we? the Giants practice squad? Their injured reserve?

No harm in a try out but P-L-E-A-S-E we need some serious size and strength WR. We have already a down-graded version of the SMURFS. These SMURFS II do not hold a candle against the first incarnation and offense.

We need ....

<<<<<<<<< ----------------- someone with the clutch time abilities of THIS man. Well , almost because there will never be another one like him.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

i am interested to know how sinorice looked. we are seriously height deficient at WR so sinorice certainly couldnt help with that problem.
