Where is the parity? The fairness?
The Seahawks, 7-9, are hosting the World Champs Saints in Seattle next week. While the Gnats at 10-6 cannot break through.
Do you feel there needs to be some adjustments with the Playoff structure?
Once strong teams like the Colts are limping into the post season...and the Ravens are traveling to KC....
Wowoweeeeeeeee...!!!

I agree with Frank - the NFL is still very competitive but it's also got a lot of teams still competing (well their eligible) in mid December for a playoff berth
the onus comes down to how well the franchises manage themselves - making sure they not only have the players that can start but also be available for depth - this is especially difficult when you play in a division like we do and you have Snyder and Cerrato putting together the scouting department and then just acquiring players like they were a part of LPJ's Fantasy Football deal
it will be especially critical to have really good depth if the NFL goes to an 18 game schedule - the player attrition rate will be thru the roof with 2 extra games
I do like the fact that we now have NFL guys in charge here and that Snyder will support their decisions finanacially - there are always going to be franchises that cannot compete without making more of a financial committment than they'd like

Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

I agree with Frank, as well... sometimes, you eat the bear... sometimes, the bear eats you. Just how it goes.
Some seasons, the playoffs are very balanced and competitive. Some years, they are completely lopsided. I don't know that there is a better way to do it.

CT I was going to say the exact thing.. awesome!! hahahahha. I don't have a problem with the way things are now. You have to have someone rep each division and hey, you never know Seattle may win 1 .. doubtful, but you never know

Talking of parity and fairness, was it my imagination, or did I see a draft order that has the Cowboys picking at number nine in this year's draft, one spot ahead of us? And yet they finished ahead of us in the NFC East by virtue of their record within the division?
I know the tie breaker criteria are different for the draft compared to the division standings, but does that seem fair?

I'm not sure how that whole thing works UK but we do have some draft experts on THN that may be able to answer that. My answer is simple, Jerry probably paid for the spot.. LOL

Neither do I, but once in the playoffs all seeding should be done by record. The Shehawks should not get a home game for going 7-9 in the pathetic NFC West.
