T.O. IS ALREADY CRYING...

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Eagles | Owens Not Happy With Dress Code - from www.KFFL.com
Wed, 9 Jun 2004 11:38:11 -0700

Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles WR Terrell Owens still wants to wear only tights at practice, according to the Sporting News. Owens showed up just in tights at his first official workout with the Eagles last month and was told by the equipment manager and assistant coaches that head coach Andy Reid has a dress code that required shorts over the tights. "My biggest adjustment isn't the new team or the plays, but wearing shorts over my tights," he said. "What does that have to do with how I practice? I understand having structure, and I guess that is him making a statement. I don't have any problem with that, but it's a big adjustment."

well, if he understands having "structure", he should also understand that means the head "honcho" will tell him "what to do"...... what garbage. i hope TO continues to be the cancer the iggles don't need. i'm glad they got him during his "arbitration".

BTW jeff garcia sucks. i'm sure mcnabb will in about the two years it'll take andy to dump TO. My 2 cents

Aren't those 2 statements a bit contradictory? If he thinks it shouldn't matter to coach so much--why is he saying that it's been such a huge adjustment for him?!

I agree, HS: Cancer, cancer, cancer.

If he's going to wear underarmor stuff under his uniform then it is a big transition to change.

I am no TO fan, but just try playing a game of basketball in compression shorts... then play another game without them on... then immagine playing 16 games a season with compression shorts... you get the idea...

I don't think you want to take a star athelete out of his confort zone, even if he does have a "history" how big of a distraction could this possibly be for the Eagles?

Also, it's high time someone come up with a better phrase for a poor locker room influence than "team cancer"... As someone who's lost loved ones to cancer it's an extremely ugly word, and calling someone a "cancer" is about as bad as it gets. I've made every effort to remove that phrase from my vocabulary.

Not to be a jerk... but it seems your a little sensative to alot of things.... Seriously both my grandparents died of emphysema, but i don't go around asking people to remove "coughing, smoking, or cigarettes" from there vocabulary... ;)

To get back on topic, I must say that I'm very glad to see Terrell Owens in Philadelphia. Being from the Philadelphia-metro area, I find it absolutely hilarious how every die-hard Eagles fan hated Terrell Owens when he was on the 49ers because he acted the same way that they like their Eagles to act, but that he wasn't an Eagle.

Now that he's on the team, they're acting like he's the second coming of Christ himself. The fact of the matter is that Owens is bad news for every team he's on. Owens might be taller and stronger than the Eagles' other receivers, but even Terrell Owens can't catch a ball thrown in the dirt three yards in front of him. They're not giving out shovels for receivers this year in the NFL, therefore the Eagles will continue to fail -- as it should be.

If you ask me, I'd start Koy Detmer (if he wasn't injured) or Jeff Blake over Donovan McNabb, and I'd start Billy McMullen at wide-receiver over Terrell Owens or Todd Pinkston. Just about every starter on the Eagles is overrated beyond belief. Brian Dawkins is made out to be the best free safety in football, meanwhile all he's good for is blind-siding people and talking real big. He can't cover a tight-end much less a receiver.

I can't wait to see the Redskins take a massive defecation all over the Eagles this season.

Well, the Eagles got the man they so desperately wanted. TO got the team he thought he was getting.
Whatever happens now, they deserve each other.

OH MY GOD HE WANTS TO WEAR TIGHTS WE'RE SCREWED!!!!11111

Umm, yeah. Anyway, you guys are making a bigger deal out of this than you should. I think you've had three threads about it now, and it was weeks ago that it first came up. Reid asked TO to put shorts over his tights, TO obliged. TO asked if he could go without the shorts if he gets 15 touchdowns this season, Reid told him that he would wear tights if TO gets 15 touchdowns.

Think about that while you're trying to get to sleep tonight. Reid in tights.

Your English teacher's probably slitting his wrists though. There's no E in faggot.
