Favourite Beijing moment but no gold

I saw the 100 meter hurdles last night and was so thrilled to see an Aussie track medal.
But what i thought amazing was the way the Aussie and Canadian girls were so happy to get medals they just danced for joy with each other, not worrying that they were from different countries

What were your favourite non gold medal moments of these Olympic Games?

Its not necessarily one moment, but it is USA basketball STOMPING every other opponent into the ground so far. My next favorite moment will be when they win the gold medal

that is an action packed race, really fast and dangerous. all it took was one miscalculation and the favorite went down. Congrats to the Australian, she got out good.

There aren't enough superlatives or adjectives in the book to describe arguably the greatest track performance ever.

Americans don't believe in the metric system. We like to be different.
It helps U.S. to convert meters per second to miles per hour.
100 meters in 9.69 seconds = 10.32 meters per second = 33.54 feet per second = 22.87 miles per hour.

Anyone who's ever owned a 10 speed bicycle with the speedometer attached knows that speed is hard to pedal on a bicycle on flat ground. Imagine running it. A 9.50 would be roughly 23.33 miles per hour.

As much as it pains me to agree with BossHog on anything, I have to admit, this is far beyond impressive. If it wasn't on tape, no one would believe it.

My favorite non-Gold Medal event was also in track. An American woman won the Bronze Medal in the 10,000M event. She was so ecstatic to have won any medal at all that she literally asked the judges twice if they were sure she had finished third. That is the true spirit of the Olympics, as far as I'm concerned.

he wouldve definitely gotten close to 9.5. and he set the WR in the 200M with a head wind in his face. the guy is amazing
