Jags sign Prioleau

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Jags sign Prioleau

Post by SkinsFreak »

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed free agent safety Pierson Prioleau on Wednesday and waived quarterback Lester Ricard.

Prioleau, entering his 10th season, spent the last three years with the Washington Redskins. He played 15 games in 2007, starting four and finishing with 38 tackles. He has 353 tackles, 5 1/2 sacks and one interception in 113 career games with San Francisco, Buffalo and Washington.

Never was much impressed with Prioleau. He was a good kid but I'm not really going to miss him. Not sure what Gregg saw in Prioleau, but then I never recognized what Gregg saw in guys like Warrick Holdman either.

I think losing him on the first play of 2006 went a long way in hurting our secondary.

Good luck to you, Pierson.

I've always liked him. He's a good ST & role player.

So did Williams, that's why Doughty started. That doesn't mean that he wasn't a good role player.

What do you mean by a "role player"? A career backup?

So would I. But I'd also take Prioleau over Vernon Fox, who is going to be our primary backup unless one of our rookies beats him out.

coaches are loyal to players that have been with him, prioleau was with him in Buffalo too, it helps to have a player that already knows your scheme.
