ALLEN PARK -- Neither player will say it publicly, but two of Detroits best offensive players -- receiver Roy Williams and running back Kevin Jones -- are counting the days until they can leave Detroit.
While the losing seasons have taken their toll on the two players, there are other reasons why they want to leave the Lions organization and their motives arent exactly the same.
Williams and Jones, who were both first-round draft picks in 2004, will become unrestricted free agents after next season and sources close to the players say theyve had enough and want out.
Big time WR if he leaves. But thing about it he really misses his home and wants to go back to texas and Cowboys and Texans are the only teams. Will first things first I think Roy wants money more than a winning team and Texans and Cowboys don't need another WR.So we could come in a get this guy he has proven alot and is a locker kind of guy with funess with him.

How about it? his 6-2 only 25 years old and his B-Day is in Dec 20th with
836 yards 63 REC and 5 TDs -91 long. But to be honest drafting a WR is tempting but hasn't worked good for us in a long while.Lets get this guy off-seasn with big money(I guess) and see what happens but I rather perfer Larry fits if his a FA but Roy is someone to look at.

No. He's rotten, and doesn't play smart football. Yet another in a long line of guys that talk the talk before they can walk the walk. Good luck to whichever team gets him in finding a helmet to fit his big head.

Considering the current state of affairs with the Skins receiver corp, Roy Williams would probably be worth the risk. I use the word "risk" because he's definitely got a history of injury. I also don't know how much of a team guy he is because he's always been known as a me-first kind of guy. The reward, of course, is when he's on he's without a doubt one of the most dangerous players in the game.
I think he's worth the risk because Skins fans need to have something to get excited about and look forward to. When you look at the Redskins, outside of the inconsistency of the offensive and defensive lines (offensive line due to injury, of course), the main concern has to be the ineffectiveness at the WR position.
For the Skins, Roy is definitely worth rolling the dice, in my opinon.
Cowboys 7- Redskins 6 (All we needed was 2 minutes of the 60)
Cowboys 17 - Redskins 0 (Way to NOT show up for the 100th anniversary)
----- TWO EASY -----
Roy Williams would be a tremendous asset to this team, this guy is a gifted reciever that works hard. I have watched a few Detroit games this year and have nothing but positive to say about this guy. This guy is big, fast, great hands, plays smart, and works hard. I say bring him in Snyder he's a can't miss.
BearSkins just wants him in Chicago. I mean which is it the Redskins or the Bears how are you gonna have two teams. Maybe I misinterpreted your screen name.

He wouldn't be welcomed at the Bears - always yakkng his large mouth off before he plays us and then producing.....uh....nothing. He gets a few extra hard licks during the game too.
As for the screen name - yup, two teams.

Drafting a WR has not worked out for us in a while. Your right. However I might mention several from this year that were picked up then let go for whatever reason. One interesting name though Brandon Loyd.
ROY WILLIAMS IS A MUST HAVE PLAYER FOR THE REDSKINS. Half the problem of the passing game besides the O-line is the fact that all our main recievers are little. Skins need a big possession wideout who is good for the fade in the redzone and can go over the middle. We have deep threats, WE NEED A BIG, PHYSICAL RECIEVER- JOE. Attitude changes with winning and environment.

Simply to fill the roster out and add to the 18 recievers we have around redskin park. And for the same reason we picked up T.J. Duckett, David Patton and a bunch of other players they pay a good deal for to ride the pine. Snyder and Gibbs love giving money away.
