Woman Reports Sexual Assault At Redskins Game
LANDOVER, Md. -- Prince George's County police said a man sexually assaulted a woman at FedEx Field at the end of Sunday's Washington Redskins game.
The 23-year-old woman told police she was in a women's bathroom in the 300 level of the stadium when the man entered and sexually assaulted her, police said.
While this is not a common occurence, please always be alert when things like this happen, and do lend a helping hand to the victims by getting security involved, if you happen to be around.
"During that attack, there were people in the bathroom who heard the woman screaming," said Prince George's County police Cpl. Diane Richardson. "They ran out of the bathroom and flagged down FedEx security as well as a Prince George's County police officer who were right in the area. After that the woman came out of the bathroom, the man came out of the bathroom and at this point the woman made a report that she was sexually assaulted, and we're looking into it."
Police said there is some conflicting evidence that they are trying to resolve. They are looking for more witnesses.
A possible suspect has been interviewed, but no arrests have been made, police said.
