Brunell not a lock @ #2

Brunell not a lock @ #2

Post by spudstr04 »

Redskins coach Joe Gibbs isn't sure who his backup QB will be this season.

Apparently Todd Collins has improved himself in the eyes of the coaching staff and is pushing Mark Brunell. The 'Skins hope neither plays this year.

Why does anybody cites rotoworld? All they do is regurgitate news from other sources. The Moss info came from the Wash Times. The Back-up QB article from the Post.

It also says.

"Mike Pucillo will start at left guard Saturday against Pittsburgh in place of injured Todd Wade (bruised shoulder), assistant head coach-offense Joe Bugel said"

seems like not a bad idea to me - we should use the pre-season to both get people ready for the real games and also look at a lot of other players, some of whom we may choose to keep and some we might have to let go.

It's also most likely why we are still considering which QB to keep of the 2 that most here wish were not here
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Well.....yeah he needs to let his sholder heal for the season.........Thing is he really still needs the work. He's supose to be the starter but wasn't looking like it in the preseason game.

I mean I love the guys ethic.. He asked for more playing time in that preseason game... but he did so because he knows he still needs the work..

So, guess I'm glad they are going to let him heal... but still upset that he isn't going to get the much needed practice.

Palmer has talent too

Palmer has the size and skills to play. I thought Collins did a good job.
Campbell didn't get much help from the O line- they better pick it up!

Gibbs said in his presser yesterday that Todd was going to be the #2 this week against the Steelers. Doesn't mean much, but doesn't mean nothing either. It's all about making the best of your opportunities.
