Cowboys cut Vanderjagt...

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Cowboys cut Vanderjagt...

Post by Judge »

Per ESPN.com (click link here)

If he becomes a Redskin, I'm going to throw up.

Novak's shaky, but Vanderjagt's a head case.

That would be kind of funny if we signed the same kicker who's kick we blocked to win the Dallas game.

I'd be surprised (not shocked) to see this happen if only because Vandegeragatrgagat apparently doesn't like kicking off, hard to see Gibbs carrying two kickers at this point unless they think Frost can kick off (assuming this isn't happening already)

Damn, I just saw this!

How could he not be an upgrade over frost. 72% is better than 50%. Plus Novak kicks off for us anyway......doesn't he......wait, now I'm not sure.

The only problem is that if Danny signs him he will give him a $11 million signing bonus and will keep him on the roster for 7 more years without drafting a kicker.

Gibbs did indicate during today's presser that kickers were going to be brought in to tryout.

Whoa, wait -- I thought he was the 'Liquored-Up Kicker'?!? Did he win the 'Idiot Kicker' award too? Sweet!

The Cowboys have really gotta feel this guy is done to eat the 2+ mil on the salary cap for this year and the next.

Frost is the Punter.....
Novak and Vanderjagt are Place Kickers...

We know Frost can kick off but it seemed to effect his punting :hmm: He does kickoff further than both PKs

We could put Patten on IR and gain more production, even if it's just another guy on the sidelines in pads it would be a upgrade

Just my opinion but we really should try not to encourage anyone from going to an ESPN site - we should try to avoid giving them any credence at all. My 2 cents

I am a little on the fence about this possibility, if it is one. I think you have to consider this guy is a highly rated kicker and if he ever did become our kicker, which is probably very remote, he would love to kick against Dallas and for a team in that division.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Sign him. Now.

I think MV struggled under Manboobs' hard-nosed style (a stark contrast to Dungy's). I think he would flourish under Gibbs, and in b&g.
