I have to admit to being real down about our 3 losses.
And I'm angry at the Skins staff and players.
One big reason is the sense of urgency we have with this team and the expectations for the season. It's a veteran team built for right now. This is a team and a coaching staff that's is designed to win right now. That's why you trade a 3rd rounder for Duckett and play Brunell instead of Jason. Because a 3rd rounder is about tomorrow, and because when Jason plays, even in year 3 or 4, he's going to go through 1st year growing pains - and as the QB goes so goes the team.
So if we're built to win now, and it's obvious that right now we're not one of the top 15 teams in the league, it's really dissapoiting. If JC were playing and young corners were learning, I'd be excited about the future. Instead, this is supposed to be a playoff year and right now, were a game under .500. It sucks. Doesn't mean I won't watch and wear my Skins Jersey to work every Friday. But I am pissed that so far it's been a huge let down.
I'm sure they'll crush the Titans and that'll make me feel better.
Do you know what frustrates me a little?

At one time, this team was like that. I want those days back.
Yeah, that would be nice, like 1980's. We were almost a dynasty back then, always in the playoffs and winning Superbowls.

Skins fan since birth!!!

I dont know how happy a win will make me. This team is so up and down its hard to get your hopes up. Im going to keep my hopes down so the devastation will be less this time.
There's always hope this team will gell and still make a solid run. We did beat Jax, a decent team. As this team showed in that game, and last year, it seems to play best when it has its back against a wall. So who knows? Anything can happen. Let's hope Coach Joe makes the necessary adjustments.

Yes, rumor has it that alternate drivers have been brought in for a tryout.BossHog wrote:Chris Luva Luva wrote:This team is so up and down...
You know what's a lot more up and down than the team is? The guy who claims to have been driving the bandwagon bus.
The current driver's license may be revoked, and he'll be given a bike...with shocks, pegs...
Back and better than ever!

I may have been down and out but you'll never see a fire joe joe gibbs thread of anything of that nature out of my mouth. Ill root for this team every week but it just hurts sometimes.

The road to the number 1 pick gaining speed!

Just curious; assuming we win Sunday (and how can we not?), Gibbs will be 20-20 since the comeback. Are you cutting Gibbs some slack because he's Joe Gibbs, or because he still hasn't had enough time (2 and less than a half seasons)?

I hear you, CLL. . .it does hurt pretty bad.
Just remember, though: suffering is the path to glory--so embrace it!
