DE from the Jets

Are there any rumors regarding the Defensive End from the Jets coming here to Washington? I beleive his name is John Abraham. A while back some people thought there could be a possiblity of him joining us.

Abraham is not a free agent.

The Jets may release Abraham as they're trying to save some cap dollars, but as of right now, he's not an option.

We don't have the $$$ right now either.

I'd be really surprised to see a d-lineman signed now as opposed to after June 1st (or the draft)

looks like money is real tight unless we dump some people.I think we will not sign anymore big dollar people because we are taped at this time.

the jets will Not realease John Abraham...
He is still undercontarct till after this season...he will be resigned.

We have cleared enough cap room to sign ALL of our FA next season...pennington,abraham,ellis and jordan.

Will we keep all of them,i doub't it but we will have the money to resign them.

Does not matter either way because the Redskins at the moment are just about all out of cap space! Expect Larry Moore and Trung Candidate to be cut very soon! Hail to the Redskins!

I hope somehow we can get him, but like Smizzy says, it doesn't look likely. As long as we get someone to play DE in the draft or remainder of FA i'll be happy.

thats the only position we haven't addressed that i'd like to have seen. we still haven't made the comittment to the line that i'd have liked to have seen. the line was by far our biggest hole last year. it's the only part of the team i feel uneasy about.
