Thank Goodness for Gibbs!
Man what where the Texans thinking idiotic I tell you. Giving up a number one on a decent end when they could have gotten maybe three to four more picks. If they wanted to go Defense then they should have traded there pick for three to four lower picks. Now they give up maybe the most dynamic player in twenty years in Reggie Bush. This explains why some teams are at the bottom. Wow unbelievable! I am so happy we dont have buffoons at the front office anymore.

Hamo... I don't know that Casserly is any genious either, but in his defense, they did dangle that pick the whole time... and they didn't get any interest... Now, NO is dangling theirs... and I doubt that they get anyone to bite either.

Maybe, perhaps even probably... but, at the moment, Bush is still just an undrafted rookie... I can recall the same kinds of things being said about Ricky Williams and Ron Dayne...

Yeah, too bad he just made a dumbass move and traded up to get a guy we thought would be there, BUT THEN HE WASN'T.
We traded with the Jets to get DQwell Jackson, who we THOUGHT would be there. But then as the Browns pick, THEY PICK JACKSON, and we get screwed and pick the guy we were going to get at 53!
And in the process, we lose this years 6th and next years 2nd.
Very dumbass move, and as of right now I am fricken pissed. (but I still like McIntosh, but Hodge is better)

Hodge is an MLB. Perhaps Williams didn't want to move Marshall out to WLB, and just wanted a WLB? Hodge isn't capable of playing WLB.
Take a deep breath. I responded in the other thread. The price we paid to move up seems to be consistent as the cost of doing business. The Patsies flipped 2nd rounders with the slot below us, and gave up a 3rd rounder this year. 2nd rounder next year is about equivalent in value to 3rd rounder this year.

Gibbs says he had been trying to trade up tho get Rocky but hadn't been able to find a partner until the Jets were willing to deal. He said McIntosh wouldn't have been there at 53rd

We did what we had to do to get our guy.
It doesn't matter who may have been there at 53.
They were not our guy.
And as far as trading to far up,
you can't pick and choose exactly what spot you want.
This isn't Madden.
That's what I keep hearing from Gibbs and stuff, but if we really did trade up to 35 to pick Rocky, and Rocky only, then why did we wait the whole 9 Minutes to pick him...

Sure we wanted Rocky, but I still honestly believe we traded up to get D'Qwell Jackson, however right after we traded up, Jackson was picked by Cleveland.
Therfore, the coaches were like "Oh crap" and used the whole 9 Minutes look to trade down a few spots to pick up the 6th that we had just given up.
However we found no suitors, so we ended up picking a guy we wanted overall, but not the guy we wanted at 35...

Dude we are fine. Rocky is a Miami guy and so is Taylor,Moss, and Portis. That means alot in terms of team chemistry and work ethic. Miami players are the cream of the crop they each go back to Miami in the offseason and train with alumni and when the season comes around Miami players are usually the best. So I am glad Gibbs did what he did.air_hog wrote:Yeah, too bad he just made a dumbass move and traded up to get a guy we thought would be there, BUT THEN HE WASN'T.
