Every so often I make my prescence here worth while...

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

People may not remember exactly what you did
or what you said....

they will ALWAYS remember how you made them feel.

Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Let's take a look at how our beloved Redskins did in years past with their first pick:

2005 - CB Carlos Rogers (solid pick)
2004 - S Sean Taylor (solid pick)
2003 - WR Taylor Jacobs (who is this guy?)
2002 - QB Patrick Ramsey (Jet)
2001 - QR Rod Gardner (is he still playing in the NFL?)
2000 - LB Lavar Arrington (never played up to full potential)
1999 - CB Champ Bailey (now a Bronco)
1998 - TE Stephen Alexander (never played up to full potential)
1997 - DE Kenard Lang (I liked this guy while he was here)
1996 - OT Andre Johnson (is he still playing in the NFL?)
1995 - WR Michael Westbrook (ha ha ha ha ha ha)
1994 - QB Heath Shuler (again, ha ha ha ha ha ha)
1993 - DB Tom Carter (whatever happened to this guy)
1992 - WR Desmond Howard (what a waste of a pick)

You get the idea. It's hard to make fun of the Jets draft mistakes when we sure had our share ourselves!

Any team that passes up on Dan Marino deserves to be laughed at.

I agree 100%. Then again, any team that drafts Heath Shuler deserves to get laughed at, too.

Every team has drafted a bum QB thats nothing special.
Every team doesn't get to pass on Marino. Its not even that serious of a deal, its just a funny movie.

your right Chris. A little off topic but the worst 1st round draft pick in all sports has to be Portland picking Sam Bowie and passing up on Michael Jordan. ROTFALMAO sorry but I had to mention it.

My favorite part:

"Obviously the Jets know something that these people up here don't."

Bwahahahahaha!

We have had a much better track record drafting than the Jets. My comments are in caps...

2005 - CB Carlos Rogers (solid pick - AGREED, COULD END UP BEING OUR #1 CB FOR YEARS)

2004 - S Sean Taylor (solid pick - AGREED BIG TIME, A STUD SAFETY)

2003 - WR Taylor Jacobs (who is this guy? - A 2ND ROUND PICK - HAS BEEN HURT A LOT, I THINK HE'LL BE A GOOD PLAYER ONE DAY. MAYBE NOT A #1 BUT POSSIBLY A GOOD #2. WR IS A FUNNY POSITION, IT TAKES SOME GUYS LONGER. I HEAR THAT THE SKINS DBS THINK HE'S GOOD.)

2002 - QB Patrick Ramsey (Jet - LAST PICK IN THE FIRST ROUND FOR US, COULD END BEING A GOOD SOLID B-UP QB)

2001 - QR Rod Gardner (is he still playing in the NFL? - PACKERS JUST RE-SIGNED HIM...A GOOD 3RD WR, BUT NO MORE)

2000 - LB Lavar Arrington (never played up to full potential - AGREED, KNEE INJURY 2 YEARS BACK HURT HIM A LOT. ON THE RIGHT TEAM, A 3-4, COULD BE A PLAYER)

1999 - CB Champ Bailey (now a Bronco -- BUT, WE GOT PORTIS FOR HIM, SO NO WAY IS THIS CONSIDERED A WASTED PICK)

1998 - TE Stephen Alexander (never played up to full potential - AGREED..WAS HE A 2ND ROUND PICK TOO? ALSO GOT HURT TOO MUCH)

1997 - DE Kenard Lang (I liked this guy while he was here - ME TOO, NOW A FA PLAYER. THE YEAR WE PICKED HIM WAS A BAD YEAR FOR DL. HIS TEAMMATE, DRAFTED JUST AFTER LANG, DIDN'T DOMINATE EITHER)

1996 - OT Andre Johnson (is he still playing in the NFL? - NEVER PLAYED, A REAL DUD. I BELIEVE HE WAS THE LAST PICK IN THE 1ST ROUND. HARD TO BELIEVE HE WAS SO OVERRATED.)

1995 - WR Michael Westbrook (ha ha ha ha ha ha - HURT A LOT, VERY ATHLETIC BUT DIDN'T GET ALONG WITH ANYONE, PLAYERS OR COACHES. MADE THE SPECTACULAR CATCH BUT DROPPED THE EASY ONE)

1994 - QB Heath Shuler (again, ha ha ha ha ha ha - AGREED...I THOUGHT FOR SURE HE WAS GOING TO BE GREAT. IT'S SO HARD TO PREDICT QBS.)

1993 - DB Tom Carter (whatever happened to this guy - PLAYED FOR BEARS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS, I THINK. DIDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR US, WAS STARTER FOR BEARS INITIALLY, THEN WENT TO NICKLE OR DIME BACK)

1992 - WR Desmond Howard (what a waste of a pick - SURE WAS. GREAT PUNT RETURNER TERRIBLE ROUTE RUNNER, LAZY, ETC...DIDN'T GIBBS WANT HIM?)

We have made some mistakes but were not nearly as bad as that! That was hilarious.
