Simon Rice

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Simon Rice

Post by John Manfreda »

I know this is unrealisticbut imagine how cool would it be to get him into a Skins uniform

RUMOR MILL: The Bucs are said to be shopping veteran DE Simeon Rice, and there is speculation they may have a willing trade partner within the state.

Jacksonville officials have reportedly received a trade offer from the Bucs but the Jaguars have yet to tell the Bucs what, if anything, they'd be willing to give up for Rice.

Rice's agent, Tom Condon, said Thursday he had not heard any trade talk involving Rice but wasn't surprised to hear that rumors of a deal were flying.

"Simeon's got a huge cap number [$9.2 million], so people just assume somebody's going to try to do something with him," Condon said. "But I don't know anything about a trade."

What do we do to get him, John, other than give them Clinton, Samuels, and Cooley?

This is another one of those guys that was great and is still good but his best years are behind him. But, I do want a awesome DE like Rice, I hope we can get one in the draft.

Pure pass rushers like Rice are very difficult to come by. He'd be a good add, but is probably too expensive.

You can never have enough pass rushing on a team and I'd love to get one in the draft as well, but I don't think it's very likely. What might be better is to draft another strong DT to help plug up some holes that allowed backs like Tiki and Tomlinson to rush for 200 yards against us.

Can you please -convince- Chris Samuels? He has a bit of a different opinion, you know.
Daniel Snyder has defined incompetence, failure and greed to true Washington Redskins fans for over a decade and a half. Stay away from football operations !!!

I would definetly do Samuals for Rice straight up. I know its unrealistic I said in my first post, I was just stating that news because it would be awsome to see him in a skins uniform.

You honestly think Samuals is better than Rice, now thats a joke. I know he is a Redskin but seriously don't look at something with that much bias.

That's just why I think this is a random thread.

I mean, sure I'd love to see Peyton Manning in a Skins uniform, but I'm not going to go start a new thread about it... you know
