Cardinals Release TE Teyo Johnson

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

So much potential...sad.

He was the sole reason for why they've lost so many games. Look for the Cards to win every game the rest of the year, except for the showdown with their former division rival, the Washington Redskins.

Really?

I actually do think we should sign him, he's got loads of talent (but he does seem like a punk)

But we better cut Royal at least.

I do like Teyo Johnson.

I was only halfway sarcastic about Royal when I posted it because I didn't expect 3 drops the next game.

I wouldn't mind the switch right about now.

Don't understand his problem.

He was a pretty decent WR in college. Got moved because he was too slow.

You'd think he'd have learned to block by now.

WTH?

ESPN Scouts wrote:Comment:
He has the versatility to align on the line, in the backfield, out wide, and in the slot. He is an exceptional athlete that can run. He shows the speed to separate and stretch the middle of the field. He is a physical receiving TE that will push off to create separation. Good reach block effort. Can come off the ball and make strong initial contact. Can motion and position block on LB's and DE's. Has given effort to improve as a blocker, but he is still a ways away. Not physical at the point of attack. Can get his legs locked when engaged. Will hop on his catch. Didn't get a lot of touches and chances to run after the catch last season despite his special abilities in this area. He can lose focus and have easy ball drops. He is a player that needs to mature and develop more consistent work habits.

His posotives make him sound like an animal, but his negatives make him sound like Royal.

Nonetheless, he is a 6-6 260lbs monster and I will be very happy if we give him a shot. Actually, I really want us to sign him!

EDIT: Read the first sentance, he sounds like a perfect H-Back...
