Snyder - Ebay - SKINS tickets

Post by Punu »

Just heard that Snyder has his own personal task force on ebay... If anyone is selling tix above face value, he will revoke your season tix.
One lady had 12 season tix since the 40's, 6 have already been taken away.
He wants to get them back and make more money off of them... they explained it in depth on the redio but this is what I remember... I just got 2 LL tix for 50 bucks!
Don't matter where you are.... YOU'RE IN REDSKINS COUNTRY!

Wow. That's pretty good, though. Those ticket prices can definately get out of hand sometimes...

Nice pick-up, BTW! $50 for 2 LL??!!

I'm glad about this. There are WAY too many visitor fans at FedEx... My mouth almost dropped seeing how many there were after most of the Redskin fans left at the Packers game...

I'm sure Snyder cares as long as he gets his money.

Lip service and spin doctoring for the sake of good press.

DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!

... someone should ask DS about the tix held back from Skins fans that they used to suck you into the 'Tailgating Club pocket purge'... funny how they often end up in the hands of the 'opposing fans'.

It's just that many more tix he can get full rocket for or give to the website's new sponsors. :-"

I'm "reading" that the only people who are losing their season tix are those that are selling/scalping their tickets for more than the face value. You can sell them for less or at face value BUT if you try to make anything off the sale you stand a chance of losing the tkts if you get caught.

No problem! If you do not use them you really should make every effort to ensure that a Skins fan has them!
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

If one really wanted to sell the tickets on eBay, it really isn't too difficult. I believe there was a story about this last year, too. All the "task force" has ever done is check out the auctions. Sell the tickets under an eBay ID linked to a different e-mail address than the Skins have, and only list section and row number until the tickets are sold. That way (assuming you only have 2 tickets), the only way the Redskins can find out that you are the seller is if they purchase the tickets back from you. Just my thoughts, but no matter. I have no problem giving my tickets up for face value so long as I know that a true Redskin fan gets them (its not like I can go this season anyways).

Greetings from NYC: I for one do not like sitting in the stands surrounded by the other teams fans. Dan S should revoke the rights of the season ticket holders that sell thier seats to the fans of the opposing teams.

my brother was told that both his sets of tickets wouldn't be renewd next year, because he was selling them on ebay and they were going for slighlty above what he payed for them. So it sucks for him...he was selling to pay off some doctors bills, but that's what happens when your grouped in with the scalpers...

Doing this doesn't really hurt opposing fans from buying Skins tickets... actually it helps them because now they'll be able to get them at cost easier....

I don't know what Snyders motivation for doing this is, but he's well within his right.... It's like a spoon full of sugar, followed by a spoon full of salt... The working skins fan will be able to get his tickets at a much lower price, but so will opposing fans...

If Snyder is so worried about E-bay, why doesn't he find out who is selling their tickets to the brokers..who, in turn, charge 200% for them?

No...that won't happen....but it's frustrating to see those high ticket prices being sold by the brokers.

Also, as far as selling tickets on E-bay, if I offer my tickets for face value...and people bid up the price, I shouldn't be penalized for that! It's a supply-demand thing. If, on the other hand, I start out asking for 200% of the value, then I should lose em.

the whole thing is you sign a contract with the Redskins not to sell them for a higher price when you decide to purchase the tickets... If a person doesn't want to play by their rules, then they can choose not to purchase the tickets...

so like I said, it's well within his right to do it... I just hope he's doing it for the right reasons... like helping those people that are on the waiting list.. but only time will tell... I imagine a flux of people should be getting called next year saying their name has come up on the list...

They said something along the lines of him doing his best to get back those lower level seats to make even more money off of them and combining the ticket prices with tailgate BBQ passes and other things... higher prices...

I brought tickets the day before we played Philly... LL 11 rows up on the 50 yards Line, behind the Skins bench!!! Guess who I was sitting by??? Philly fans, who were giddy about getting such great seats simply by calling the Reskins Ticket office!!

Mr Snyder or any Redskins official reading this...I applaud you for going after those who sell...but your being very hypocritical by "holding" back tickets and asking fans to pay more for seats that don't sell and end up in the opposing fans hands. Meanwhile faithful and dedicated fans like us, spend the off-season writing letters to upgrade our seat only to have our request denied!!

IT IS A CRIME TO DENY YOUR FAITHFUL FAN BASE THE BEST SEATS IN THE HOUSE!!

Team tackles scalpers on EBay

From NBC12 Sports
Tuesday, August 9, 2005

If you value your Redskins tickets, don't sell them on EBay for profit.

The Washington Times reports the Redskins are revoking season tickets belonging to fans caught selling them for more than face value on the Internet auction site.

Team vice president Karl Swanson says they won't sanction fans who sell their tickets at or below face value. Swanson says they're concerned about the problem of scalping.

It's not known how many fans have had their tickets revoked.

Yesterday, EBay listed nearly 15-hundred auctions for Redskins tickets, ranging from single-game tickets to full-season packages including parking permits.

The N-F-L says it has no policy regarding the resale of tickets on EBay.

I'm not kidding!! I was at a fund raiser with Cory Raymer, Brian Micthell and the Hogettes for FisherHouse and made the call on a Sat. for the Sun. night Eagles game. When I got the tickets, I donated mine to the FisherHouse

That really pisses me off. Danny Boy has several thousand Obstructed View seats to give away. They're right on the lower level too!!! I don't know why he can't give those seats to Philly Fans. They probably won't even know that they are obstructed until they sit in them. It would be great seeing their faces after they have figured out they just got the worst seats in our house.

Don't be mad at Snyder... be mad at Skins fans not filling up the stadium... it would be impossible for them to screen what type of fan is buying their tickets... I'm sure most of the Eagles fans at the stadium don't buy there tickets months or years in advance.... they get them weeks before... and that's because normal Skins fans aren't filling the stadium... probably because we've been losing the past decade and more.. and have lost the last 4 or 5 Home Eagles vs Skins games...

Winning will fill that stadium w/ Skins fans... nothing else...

Be mad because if you ever start winning, you won't have an outlet to purchase tickets through. A person's not going to dump their ticket for face value for a winning team so unless you have season tickets or know someone who does, be prepared to pay mucho dinero for a traditional scalper.

No BTP Snyder holds these seats back and only sells them to those who also but TG passes he only releases them towards the end of the season while faithful fan like us have to sit upstairs...I have asks for upgrade every year I have move up 4 row!!
