Biggie Smalls had sick rhymes and a good voice for rapping, but Tupac was the epitome of what a rapper should be and thats not what you see on the radio airways or MTV today. He was REAL, when you listen to his music you can feel his energy and how into his music he is. You can tell he does it for the love of rapping and making rhymes, not just for making money and being famous which is what Biggies stuff was more like. Some of Pac's lyrics were so deep that even though they didn't really affect me, it made me feel his sorrow and pain. the only rapper who can do that besides Pac is Nas, who is underrated in my opinion. Nas is one of those unheralded rappers who has great street cred but doesnt get much love from the media. His stuff is too political and not enough sex n drugs you could say. Regardless, I hate to diss Biggie like this, and although I respect him, I truely think he's overhyped for the mere fact that he's dead. Tupac is better, hands down

Thats how I feel =D>

They are both two of the greatest.

Im moving away from that brand of rap music....

I've found hiphop.

Don't know if you listen to any of these guys, but you can go out and buy EVERY single album ever made by ALL of them. They are all classics, IMO, and the beat-heavy hip-hop groovin' thing flows through all of them.

They also put some thought into their lyrics, as opposed to the bling, cars, sluts, etc.

Tribe Called Quest, Mos Def, De La Soul, Common, The Roots, Talib Qweli

Jurassic 5 - another classic.

can't vote for either because that would be slacking the other one. just too hard to pick between. i really think they both were on top of the game.

i really don't like a lot of new stuff, but i've got tons of rap from the early to mid 90's. i still think wu-tang 36 chambers is one of the best of all time.

I think Kanye is a very good rapper, and def the best producer in the game right now, theres no debate for that. Kanyes college dropout is still a cd i listen to, and I really gotta give it up to old school hip hop, that is just so original and has great flow

This is a tough one.

I would say pac if it was down to just lyrics.

I would say Biggie if it is who put ouut the most hit records.

Overall, personally I would go with Biggie, but it's just way to close to call.
