Eagles and/or Cowboys will move ahead of Skins in draft?

Post by oafusp »

Both the Eagles and Cowboys have multiple picks in this draft...I would not be surprised to see either or both move up to get a top WR. Especially the Eagles.

As for Dallas, they'd be good to keep their 2 first round picks and get the best available WR and CB in the first round.

I am starting to think Williams, Rolle, Jones will be gone come #9.

So your theory is that they will trade up just to keep us from getting a quality player?

That could be a possibility, but don't you think that they would be better served by simply having more first day selections that us?

No, that would be irresponsible on their part. They would trade up to benefit their team, not to screw another team.

I'm sayin, don't be surprised if they do, especially the Eagles. They have a TON of draft picks and if they don't trade some away they would end up cutting some of them before the season....+ salary cap implications.

It is for sure that the Eagles need a top quality WR to go with Owens (who is not getting any younger). So, don't be surprised if they position themselves in the top 10 to make sure they get Williams or Edwards.

Then again, they could trade some away for picks in 2006...
One thing is for sure, they will have a draft day trade and moving into the top 10 is a possibility IMO.

Thats all true. I definetly think that the Eagles are more likely to trade up than the Cowboys. The Eagles do have 13 picks. Thats a lot of guys to add in one year. So I agree that they will do some sort of trading picks. They are in good cap shape so they could afford to pay a top ten guy and several other players.

So the iggles can give us a bunch of picks (#1 and a #2) and have the #9, plus, for a few dollars more, we will give them our former #1!

C'mon GF call your little bird friends and organize a trade.

Man this draft cannot get here soon enough.
Until recently, Snyder & Allen have made a lot of really bad decisions - nobody with any sense believes this franchise will get better under their guidance
Snyder's W/L record = 45% (80-96) - Snyder/Allen = 41% (59-84-1)

Why would the Eagles trade their picks to a division rival?

There are plenty of other teams to parlay a top pick out of without having to benefit a team in the NFC East.

My 2 cents
Sean Taylor was one of a kind, may he rest in peace.

Maybe we want Thrash back.

... anyway. The Eagles will move up. Not that far up, but they'll move up. Reid believes it takes a receiver three years to learn his system, so we're probably not going to draft on in the first round. My guess is O-line.
