Only if you cut it in a Right-Left-Right-Right-Left-Right-Left-Left pattern. That way you meet the paradiddle criteria stated previously.

Drummer's humor. LOVELY! Someone here will actually get some of Scott's jokes!

Yeah, a lot of people probably saw the reference to paradiddle and though he meant padiddle (a car with one working headlight) since it is a car thread.

Shelby Cobra GT500
So, Niki, JF and Jackson, What car (or SUV) did you finally buy to replace the "loss" of the other one?
Please do -not- tell me that you bought a minivan...
JF, Why a yellow Mustang convertible? Why not a +450 hp RED 2007 Shelby Cobra GT500 for sale next year:

RIC we got a Rodeo. We just got such a great deal and extended warranty that we couldn't turn it down. As for Jansenfan's dream to own a mustang, it will NEVER happen. He got yet another ticket. I think we will personally finance the utilities for a year on that building Geico has in Fredericksburg.
Ask him what he did to the last mustang he had too?? lol Keep dreaming hun. Maybe in 15 years.

OK JF, maybe you get to come along if I decide to trade my car for a GT500. But the -real- BOSS said no driving. So, you are stuck with the co-pilot's role.

I thought Chrysler installed disc brakes at least in some of their recent models. How far back are we talking about?tcwest10 wrote:Well, I recently cut the drums on my Chrysler.
Does that count ?

Saw the unveiling of this baby and the GT earlier today. They are both things of beauty. Easily the best part of the entire day.Redskin in Canada wrote:So, Niki, JF and Jackson, What car (or SUV) did you finally buy to replace the "loss" of the other one?

C'mon, now. You're talking to a mechanic here.
4 wheel disc is still optioned in most models.
Everybody else ? 2 disc, 2 drum.

Is anybody else also a car fan?

I'm a big Mustang fan. I have an 89 5.0 and I'm looking forward to seeing the new Shelby/SVT Cobra at the NYC AS. I love the new Mustang and I am thinking of selling off my 5.0 and getting one of these things. The 69 Boss 302 has always been my favorite Stang and the 05 Mustang reminds me of it a lot!
I am kind od disapointed that Ford didn't put a 6 speed in for the manual. And what is up with the gas mileage. The 05 is rated about the same as my 89, but my 89 used to get 30 mpg onthe highway (@75mph) with the original 2.73 gears. Heck even now I get 24mph on the highway with 3.73 gears, 137,000 miles, 245/45 tires and a Saleen wing (I bought it in 90 before every other person had a Saleen wing)
I wouldn't mind having a Roush Mustang either, but I don't think that they are a good value for the mods that are made.

Come on man, show us a picture of your baby!skinsfan#33 wrote:I'm a big Mustang fan. I have an 89 5.0 and I'm looking forward to seeing the new Shelby/SVT Cobra at the NYC AS.
I agree about the five speed issue. They should have had six on the floor. But it is not a big flaw. You have enough torque in this beast to get by easily with a five-speed gear box.
My main question mark goes to the rear live axle suspension. I know that the GT500 has better bars, shocks, etc than the normal GT but how well does it behave in the slalom?
As far as gas goes, if anybody is concerned about gas prices in this baby, it means we can not afford it to begin with. But I sympathise if you are really going to cruise on a beast like this one.

Highway maintenance not good anymore? I am trusting you with the playground for these babies on four wheels man!tcwest10 wrote:C'mon, now. You're talking to a mechanic here.
Not on most Japanese, German and other Foreign cars. Four Disc brakes are standard on many of those. But that is OK. Nothing wrong with drums on the Chrysler.tcwest10 wrote:4 wheel disc is still optioned in most models. Everybody else ? 2 disc, 2 drum.
Thinking about it, you must see from time to time some real bad accidents on the road. Are there any particularly tough spots one may want to avoid on US highways?
