Maybe...

I think Pierce is alright, but he's no superstar... sure, he did awesome this season, but be was a nobody... if he wants to continue to be a good player he'll stay here, if not he'll be a disappointing FA for someone else.

I totally agree that Pierce is solid but no star. If he is as smart as they say, he will stay.

Hmmmm....I can't decide between "yes" and "definitely". There is such a big difference.

I choose absolutely.

Well...based upon the spelling...I believe he was actually asking us to "Define Tly" -- but dictionary.com does not have a listing for tly...so I'm conflicted. Having said that:

I'll take "yes" for 500 Alex. (Pierce will stay)

I posted yesterday that Smoot should just sign the contract, but I think Pierce should test the market. I am pretty sure we have offered Pierce a fair contract.
I think the best thing would be for him to see his value to other teams. He has already stated that the Skins would get the last crack at him.

I think that his agent is telling him not to sign with Wash. He'll see what others are going to offer. I think the same for Smooty.

No because if he wanted to be here he would have already signed.

So he as well as Smoot want the team to bid on them like they are both superstars.

Smoot is decent and Peirce is a product of the system.

In one year he goes from begging Billie to Ray Lewis. It's the system.

I cant beleve those two are holding us for Ransom.

There not holding us for ransom, Pierce did display his talent and did log 160 tackles, that amazing for a first year starter, the reason we never have people who contribute year in and year out is because we always let someone go while they are young and sign big money washed up players( Rolle), If pierce is resigned i believe we will hav the best linebacker set in the NFL, With Pierce, Washington, adn Arrington and Marshall ba cking up

I didn't see absolutely... so I picked definitely

He could have went to Minn last year as a posible starter and for more money than we offered but he signed with the Skins.

He will see what the marketprice is for his services and then he'll sign with the team that offers the best deal..

Based on his career he will get the best deal here with the Skins because as far as the rest of the League is concerned he had 1 good year at MLB and before that a so-so OLB so the offers that he get won't be that mind blowing

But it would be nice if he signed before March 2nd

One other thing, if no one bites on the potential one year wonder, the Org can play his game and give him less.

I would.

I was looking for "positively", but the choices were so limited...

And we Redskins fans are fortunate enough to have watched his career saw not just decent play before this season and excellent play this year; but we've seen that he's been a hard worker all throughout. The Skins know how important this guy is.

...flourishing best under Williams, who only coaches one defense.
Ours.
Even Marvin didn't get as much from Antonio. If he wants to truly become a mover and shaker, he needs to stay right where he is, "where everybody knows (his) name".
