Owens Sprains Ankle Against That team in Texas

Talk about the AFC, NFC, the NFL Draft, College Football... anything football that has no Washington Football Team relevance.

Owens Sprains Ankle Against Dallas

Philadelphia star wide receiver Terrell Owens was forced out of Sunday's game against the Dallas Cowboys, limping off the field with a sprained ankle and could miss next weeks game against the Rams on Monday night. Owens grabbed his right ankle when he was dragged down by Roy Williams on a 20-yard reception to open the third quarter. Owens had two receptions for 24 yards. He hobbled around the sideline early in the third quarter, then needed help to make it into the locker room for X-rays. Owens entered the game with 75 catches for 1,176 yards and a team-record 14 touchdowns.

At his press conference Andy Reid said the ankle wasn't broken but it did swell up quite a bit. He said he doubts that he'll play next week and may miss the following game also. I Illy doesn't have T.O. they are in trouble

He's got a month until the next real game. Plenty of time to heal up from a sprain.

It's a tribute to T.O. conditioning, I think most players break their ankle on that play...I bet T.O. declares himself ready to play next week!!

Not if it's a high ankle sprain... which it is.

He wanted to come back in and play in that game. I guess he figured if McNabb could play on a broken ankle he could play with a sprain.

Terrell Owens Out Indefinately

Philadelphia Eagles star receiver Terrell Owens will miss the rest of the regular season and possibly the playoffs and Super Bowl with torn ligaments in his right ankle. Owens needs surgery and stands only an outside chance of being able to play in the Super Bowl on Feb. 6 if the Eagles make it that far, head trainer Rick Burkholder said. Owens was hurt on the second play of the third quarter of Philadelphia's win over Dallas on Sunday when he was dragged down from behind by Roy Williams on a 20-yard reception. Owens immediately grabbed the back of his leg, which was bent backward, but left the field on his own power. "He's a great player, but can the offense go on? Absolutely," coach Andy Reid said Monday. "We have some pretty good players on this offensive unit, so it'll still function and do very well this week." Owens, who has 77 catches for 1,120 yards and a team-record 14 touchdowns, hobbled on the sideline, then needed help to make it into the locker room.

Hmm, does anyone believe in karma?

Also, I noticed that the specialist treating him is in Baltimore, I hope he isn't a Ravens fan! This is what TO gets for whining, complaining and treating Jeff Garcia, Ray Lewis, the Ravens, the 49ers, the NFL, etc... like s***. He came to Philly to win a Super Bowl and now even under the BEST possible circumstances he still may not be able to play even if Philly gets that far (which they won't). Boo freakin' hoo!

Too bad we have Philly's best reciever from last season as our third reciever. Their new number one doesn't seem very tough either, you only have to threaten hitting him and he'll cower and run for cover.
