If you're ever going to be excited or positive about the Redskins now is the time. Why even be a fan if you can't get excited about the draft?
I am excited about this draft. Been out of town, out of touch after the Haskins draft, but this draft looks fine. I've been tied up recently and haven't ...

Re: Hail Kirk
That was the most Kirk Week 17 possible. Kind of like last year where I think they were ready to pay him but Week 17 disaster scared them. But you have to balance it out with the rest of the season.

Re: Hail Kirk
Kirk has answered all the questions this season, but there are just so many teams looking for a QB. Someone is going to offer him an insane amount of money and it won't make sense for him to say no. My guess remains Cleveland offering him a contract that is stunningly large. Denver maybe. Don't see ...

If Kirk finishes the season strong, the Redskins will find a way to bring him back.

Re: Gruden Year 4
I'm a Gruden fan for being a calming influence on the franchise. I think keeping Haslett was dumb, but that may not have been all him. And I don't think Barry was the worst as much as he had zero talent. Manusky has a bit better talent and not surprisingly has a more comeptent group.

Re: Redskins FO update
The Redskins had a good offseason on paper. The defensive talent got better on all three levels and on offense they didn't made a smart prove it offer to Pryor. This is a better roster than a year ago today and looks set up at all but one position to be good for a while.

When the cuts have been made and the Redskins begin to play for real, I pay more attention.
And I've never been able to accurately predict anything from preseason. I don't watch unless I on mistake see it on TV. I just check injury reports.

My pick has been Pettine, even when Phillips was available.
More worried about talent than coaching on that side of the ball.

Re: Sean McVay to Rams. Who do we replace with?
I don't like the idea of offensive line coaches also being the coordinator. Too much split responsibility. I'd rather elevate Matt Cavanaugh to coordinator and find a younger coach to replace him as QB coach. Cavanaugh hasn't been great as OC in the past but he's experienced and ultimately it's Jay ...

Re: How good or bad was this season
Wish the season ended better but back to back seasons with a winning record hasn't been seen for a while. Lots of progress last two seasons. I'll start getting frustrated if next offseason we're coming off 8-8 or 9-7 but I've seen enough I believe investment in the defense gets this team into the ...

It's actually impressive how terrible the Redskins are at safety. When is the last time the Redskins had a competent safety not named Sean Taylor or LaRon Landry? I'd say over a decade ago with Matt Bowen and Ryan Clark. And don't come back with DeAngelo Hall. He was the best of bad options.

Re: Matt Jones?
All Gruden cares about is passing. That's it. He has no concept of a team winning as a whole. Jay Gruden is a win away from being the first Redskins coach to take them to the playoffs back to back years since Gibbs I. That's after a two year stretch where they won a total of 7 games. And he's done ...

Re: Cousins Is The Best Redskin In Decades
Just in the past 20 years the Redskins have had some players better at their position than Kirk Cousins. Trent Williams, Champ Bailey, Jordan Reed (assuming he keeps it up), and I think the argument can be made for Sean Taylor (he took a huge step his final season), Ken Harvey, and maybe London ...

If Leonard Williams keeps up his growth then yes there will be lots of "What if" feelings but upon further thought I'm fine with picking Scherff. He should bbe in the conversation for best guard in the NFL by the end of next season and if not for Morgan Moses not taking the RT position after a ...

Re: Washington @ Dallas Pre-Game
This game is where Cousins can earn his money. Cowboys have been really solid but not great on defense. We know the Cowboys will move the ball, but if our offense keeps humming we have a good chance. The best thing that can happen is Redskins put a couple on the board early and the Cowboys get ...

According to Mike Jones with the Post he is on practice field doing sprints today. The Redskins definitely used the last injury as a reason to shut him down. Long has been a big improvement at center. Definitely a better fit there than left guard.

I'd love to get to 6-2 but I wonder how the fans and media will feel if we are at 6-6 but are still playing well ... It would be ugly and tough rightfully so. I can see 1-3 in a tough stretch but four straight losses just isn't a good thing. It's the NFL, not a solid Vanderbilt or Mississippi State ...

Slowly looking better. Not where he was last season. Still way too many receivers running free and not being hit.
Hopefully today calms him down and we see him tear up Cleveland before we hit a tougher stretch.

He made the team but is playing it safe having just come off the DL and is being replaced by Max.
What I really wonder is would he have made the same decision had he been named the starter for the game in his hometown.

Dan Snyder anonymously paid for Chief Zee's funeral.
Now what do you think of him?

I've always liked Dan Snyder more than most. He's always been a guy who I knew would write any check who would help the Redskins.
