Getting a shot at a franchise QB without having to move up was big.

Not a bad move by the Skins. We're getting him damn near free: swapping a 6th for a 7th rounder and only paying $3.5 million for a year of service. He'll make more money off the Broncos than the Skins next year.

That said, I think this price reflects how likely he is to be The Answer at QB for us ...

Kind of surprised its a two year deal given his age, but I agree it was a no-brainer to bring him back if he was up for it.

I like it. A two-year deal shows him we still respect what he brings to the table, and at this point respect seems to be worth a lot to him.

As for performance . . . well ...

I'll be honest its hard for me to imagine how we afford any top tier FAs this offseason. But its looking like Giants won't tag Collins this offseason and (weirdly) some are reporting that he WANTS to be here:

I agree with the predictability part. But I also find this criticism frustrating. Fans are constantly demanding that the team commit to the run, and saying they want to get back to Redskins/The Hogs style football. But when they do, everyone bitches that there are some three and outs.
