I read that Betts has a sprained ankle - depending on how serious it is we may need another back, whether it's LJ or someone else

I think both Doughty and Horton have been among the better playing members of the defense. Doughty playing really well now and have no issue with him getting the start - just like before, both will play a lot.

Many others on the D need to lift their game.

IMO main issue the team faces is poor ...

I just hope the Giants read these predictions and prepare for a 6-10 team!

Being overlooked isn't a bad thing.....

While I'm not sure Suisham is the kicker we would want ideally, I don't think I've seen Rayner do much of anything better.

1. Not sure we've seen much in preseason games on field goals. I think Suisham would also have made Rayner's field goal and Rayner would probably also have missed Suisham's ...

The more comfortable choices IMO:

QB: (2) Campbell, Collins

RB: (2) Portis, Betts

FB: (1) Sellers

WR: (4) Moss, Kelly, Randall El, Thomas

TE: (3) ey, Davis, Yoder

OL: (7) Samuels, Dockery, Rabach, Thomas, Heyer, Bridges, Reinhart

DL: (7 ) Carter, Haynesworth, Griffin, Daniels ...

Did anyone else share my concern that the 1st team DL did not create much pressure on Brady last night?

In particular, not up the middle....

Note his contract also expires this year. No cap hit if they decide to retain Hall next yr.

And remember, last year they were off to a hot start until we spanked them hard at FedEx.... then they fell apart and have not been good since. They may be looking for payback....

I think it's important to be a little patient with these young punters, as it will take time for them to develop the mental toughness to succeed. Remember, they are only on the field a few times a game.

With Brooks' injury, we have Plackemeier now. At least he has some more NFL experience ...

In addition to being a vet free safety, which is important with all our young safeties, he's also supposed to be a strong special teams player. Since Reed Doughty is out, who was a key ST guy, he is supposed to fill in both those gaps.

Hope he succeeds.

Mix it up (press and cushion) and change it - keep 'em guessing! It's always good when you have the skills to do that.
