Thanks for Some Good Off-Season Fodder

Just want to throw my two cents in here and say that the Redskin organization is making it one helluva off-season.

I started paying attention to the Redskins and this message board when the Brunell trade rumors started.

The Bailey-Portis move has upped the ante again, and the Gibbs rehire was ...

Smizzy:

I wasn't referring necessarily to you with the "2-3 years."

I used the 4-5 years because that seemed to be the consensus mileage left on Brunell's treads during the debate us Jaguar fans had last year.

Ps it was B.Leftwich that pushed Brunell out...Not his decline of talent.

Some Jaguar fans might say it was Brunell who pushed Brunell out, given his contract dispute with owner Wayne Weaver. I am dubious about that one though.

What I saw was that Weaver hired Jack Del Rio and a new front ...

P Onca - I WAS a Jax fan, but with Boselli, McCardell and Brunell gone, I am no longer...I'm a new Redskin fan!

Great. I'm sure the Redskins are happy to have a bandwagoner such as yourself come and join their ranks.

For those Redskin fans out there, this reply is typical of the Brunell ...

Just to add a little from what they're saying down here. The talk is that Gibbs needs a veteran QB who will know his role in Gibbs' system and play accordingly. Could a factor be that Ramsey may still be in a position where he has to prove himself, i.e. contract incentives, and he may push the ...

Maybe Brunell was playing safe when he did play, knowing he wasn't going to be in JAX next season.

Actually, Brunell was playing for his job in the first three games before he was injured. Del Rio put the onus on Brunell pretty early in camp and during the preseason. The "downfall" for Brunell ...

Perspective on Brunell from a Jaguar Fan

First, let me state I'm a die-hard Jaguars fan who has been with our team since the beginning. Second, Mark Brunell did great things for our young franchise and was a part of some of the greatest games I have experienced as a football fan. Period. I will never forget the dash in the '96 Denver ...
