Re: Cousins Showing Progress Griffin Didn't Make

It didnt matter where Cousins, or any other QB on this staff, threw that final pass in yesterday's game. If Grant slips and falls , the result would have been the same. It had Jack to do with inaccuracy. Just bad luck.

Kirk had some passes yesterday that were poorly thrown, so did Matt Ryan. He had ...

Didn't we already reach out to Fangio and he declined. Seems I remember something about that.

could be he was hoping to be offered the HC position for the 9ers

Re: Building through the draft

I agree to the BPA philosophy to a point but, what if:

at 5, it just may be this guy m. Brandon Scherff OT, Iowa

Would you guys pull the trigger even though we have Trent? If yes, which one starts on the right side?

I mean, this dude is an animal. I think Williams has better feet but, Scherff may ...

Re: Trent Murphy

Brian Urlacher played 13 years at ILB with almost exactly the same "measureables" as Trent Murphy. Now don't get me wrong, I don't think Murphy will be the next Urlacher but, its not as far outside the box as folks may think to convert him. Especially with the outside backers we currently have and ...

Yes, Fred Davis is an idiot and about the only thing that can save his career now is a trip to the Patriots.

Re: Power Run Game? Lichtensteiger to Center?

I'd rather see us pick up Alex Mack in FA , move Montgomery over to guard in Chesters spot and take a stud RT at the top of the 2nd round. Keep Chester and/or Polumbus as back ups if the price is right.

This would give us quality depth across the O-line, the only issue would be, how Montgomery ...

Re: After todays games...

After watching the 49'rs v Hawks game yesterday , I'd have to say we are farther away from matching up against a team like Denver.
Both Seattle and San Fran got away with playing some very sloppy football and if Seattle is going to rely on Manning to make the mistakes Kaep. did to get the win, its ...

Actually, I cant find where anyone on this staff has worked with him, he went to Tampa in 2012. I mean yeah, I get that there has been quite a connection with Tampa in all these hirings, that is a bit weird.

Re: Gruden Working with Allen

I'm a bit worried about Bruce hiring mostly folks he's familiar with. That can both a good and a bad thing. There are rumours that Doug Williams is being interviewed for a position. Are we really conducting interviews or is it just a show?

Not sure, but I saw Ernest Byner's name in the mix ...

He's still listed as the RB coach on the official website and was never announced as terminated. If I were a young coach walking into my first HC job and Bobby Turner was still on payroll, aint no way I'm letting that man get out the door.

Re: D Hall Wants to Play Safety

I dunno, D Hall isn't great in zone, he's a better man guy, so moving him to rover scares me a bit. If he were playing read/react behind 2 good disciplined veteran corners I would be really fine with this but, Wilson and Amerson still make too many bad decisions (for different reasons) it could be ...

Re: Sources: Jim Haslett to Continue as DC

For me, Has is just to laid back. I like my D coordinators to have a bit of an edge to em, If he let Shannahan undermine his defense the way the reports say and, did nothing, that's not the kind of personality that tends to make a good DC.

Greg Williams would have smacked Mike in his @#%^&! mouth ...

Re: What offense to run?

One thing that I find interesting is that Bobby Turner is still here. Now , he was a Shannahan guy but, retained his position when the others were let go. I'm excited about this because IMO he IS the best in the league and critical to Alfred's development. That being said, the Gruden passing offense ...

We have a lot of guys that restructured deals to get us where we are today and a few more in contract years that are gonna want a nice slice of the pie. What's odd is, all these people talking about Robert being rusty and getting acclimated to game speed.

Have they forgotten that his knee is currently better than ...

One injury to one of our current corners and he's back on the roster. I certainly hope that don't happen but, its good to still have Chase around for that reason.

We're lucky he cleared waivers.

Wow. Minnefield was released? Didn't expect that.

I wonder if this means were gonna try to pick up Antoine Winfield who was released by the Seahawks. I thought Chase was a lock.

Winfield would almost have to agree to the vet minimum to play here unless a big salary gets axed.

Um, it's Steelers, not Stealers. And thieves, not theives.

I would bet the name Giant has been used more often in a derogatory manor to describe the obese than Redskin has to describe native americans.

Im not concerned one bit with the RB picks. Bobby Turner and Mike Shannahan could turn me into a 1000 yard back, I'm a 43yr old white guy.

Im more concerned that some of these picks will miss time due to injury or suspensions. Not a huge concern though. I have faith that over 50% of these picks ...

I think if he re-signs here, he has the option to wait until late pre-season, possibly early regular season before he gets back on the field. "IF" he feels he needs more time to heal. I know the doctors cleared him but, that doesnt make him 100%.

I don't think he will have that luxury with ...
