Re: Jay Gruden’s Play Calling

Even though we won, does anyone have thoughts on our play calling in the 2nd half for our last 2 games? How many TDs has our offense scored in the 2nd half all season?

Jay Gruden’s Play Calling

He doesn’t make changes until it’s too late. I’m also tired of him stating his play calling was poor. If we aren’t in the playoffs this year then we need a new HC.

Re: DRAFT DAY THREAD.....2015

Get used to Joe Gibbs style football. Sound defense, the Hogs, strong run game, less reliance on QB but can strike at any time with good receivers.

He was one of the key Redskins I remember when I first watched them play. Class act.

Re: A List of GM Candidates

Please note that Dan the Small Man must have read this post. Scot was mentioned in the article. Now it's going to be a lot of fun having professionals run the football operations.

Re: A List of GM Candidates

In my view, getting a GM, and the right GM, is more important than who we might pick in the 2015 draft.

A List of GM Candidates

Maybe Dan the Small Man will finally come to terms that he is making a complete ass of himself and destroying the famed Washington Redskins franchise, which he so dearly loves. So, if Dan the Small Man reads this please get a world class GM to run the player evaluation and selection function. And ...

Our offensive game plan is non-existent. We are not prepared. This is ALL on Gruden.

Re: McCoy will start vs. Colts

Last year Dan the Small Man coddled RGIII and castrated Shanahan. Can't do that this year.

Re: McCoy will start vs. Colts

If Gruden didn't make a change at QB he might have had a mutiny. It's pretty obvious RGIII is "lost". He has no confidence; look at his eyes; he looks sullen; has been all year. Now the key issue will be if Dan the Small Man realizes he needs to COMPLETELY REMOVE HIMSELF from the football decisions ...

Re: Ouch...RGIII "Coddled"

Agreed. No more sugar coating this issue. RGIII has to put up or shut up. I think Gruden needs to give RGIII some play calls to better suit his current skill set but the writing is on the wall. This also is a message to Dan the Little Man...don't "spoil" a prized 1st round QB; i.e. don't coddle any ...

Very poor play calling by Gruden. He HAS to call plays that suit RGIII's strengths; not weaknesses.

Re: Vikings vs Redskins Game Day Thread

Haslett needs to go and for some reason if Todd Bowles doesnt get a HC position I think Gruden needs to give him a ring about a DC job.

I could be wrong but Todd Bowles doesn't like the Redskin name at all. I thought I read somewhere just what he thought about it. I haven't seen that... Todd ...

Re: Vikings vs Redskins Game Day Thread

That's Haslett's responsibility. He's had plenty of time (4+ years) to get this done; he hasn't. His schemes today were pathetic; especially against a rookie QB. How can we look so good against Dallas and so clueless against Minnesota?

Re: Vikings vs Redskins Game Day Thread

Is there any reason we should keep Haslett on for the rest of the season? The plan for Dallas was great. The plan for Minnesota was abysmal. Let's get this over with now.

If and I underscore if Dan Small Man is telling Gruden to start RGIII and the players know this then we as a team and franchise are in big trouble.

Re: Fans Should Require Better

There is no question that our team would be better served with a new owner. But, until that day arrives we can only hope that the little man will hire the best football people around to run the team. Right now, we're not there.

Gibbs found ways to win with modest talent. Jay needs some coaching on how to win with what you've got not what you want.

Re: Same problems as always

I firmly believe this is a coaching problem. Coaches are trying to mold the team in their vision rather than mold the team to win. There is a difference. Where we have weaknesses on the OL we need an extra TE and fullback for blocking. On defense we need better schemes for rushing the passer. On ST ...

This team lacks discipline and that starts with the coaching staff. Turnovers and poor ST play are a sign of a poorly coached team.

On Paper...

My view is this is the best Redskins team on paper since Gibbs I's teams. The only areas where we have ?s is the guard positions and ROT on Offense. Our secondary is much improved with Clark and Breeland and our LBs and DL are strong. I would say our WRs are in the top 2-3 in the NFL and Morris is a ...
