Re: Week 1 Starting QB

It will be Fitz, I'd really like to see Allen get a shot as well, he was playing well when he got hurt.
My fear is we are going to see all three! :?

Re: The Trent Thread

Yea, first it's about money, now medical staff...sounds like PR stunt...Trent is being fed by his agent. Saying it's the medical staff is very opportunistic considering all the scrutiny the staff has been under...much more palatable for the fans if he complains about the medical staff than $$$$!!

Re: Of Course This Happens to the Redskins

In a related move:

Redskins signed LB Jon Bostic.

Reuben Foster was placed on IR in a corresponding move. Bostic started 14 games for the Steelers last year, so this isn't just a depth signing. He should push for significant snaps.

Did anybody else google Jon Bostic ...

Of course just like Alex's broken leg, it can't just be your average ACL...they are saying that there may be artery damage???

Re: Pessimistic about the season, optimistic about Josh John

Actually the field has been in great shape, they fix the issue the year after RG was hurt...remember a Seahawk player also tore his ACL and blamed the field...I think it was Celmons??
The Skins have had the field resodded every year after and during the season.

The field starts in great shape but ...

Re: Pessimistic about the season, optimistic about Josh John

How long has the staff been in place? Is this the same staff that handled RGIII. I still don't know who was responsible but he shouldn't have been on the field when he tore his ACL.

Re: Pessimistic about the season, optimistic about Josh John

As an aside it must be nice to make six figures for "consulting." If the doctors like James Andrews, who perform the surgeries, have no advice on how to prevent these injuries then why would it be reasonable to think an outside consulting firm would have the answers? It isn't as far as I can ...

Re: I'm no longer feeling optimistic

I would like to see an outside agency come in and review our training staff/programs.

Would be interesting to know which injuries were preventable. The broken legs, concussions, torn pecs, nerve damaged shins, torn ACLs, etc; etc;

I may be alone in this but, yes, I think Gruden would still be here because I think his record would be substantially better.

I will freely admin that other teams develop better than us, but who have the Skins cut recently that have become perennial pro bowlers?

Kinda the opposite. Cousins, Spencer Long, Trent Murphy, Bashad Breeland, Matt Jones, Ryan Grant... all guys we let go. Not sure any of them excelled elsewhere ...

Although not a great excuse, lets not forget about the injuries....I think we compete for the division/wildcard without them??

Yes, but we're the team that didn't allow an injured and ineffective starting QB to derail our Super Bowl aspirations so we should never use injuries as an excuse ...

To that point... They let people who DO perform walk... And fill the need with a cheaper alternative nearly every year

Re: Doctson

It'd be great if Doctson becomes the receiver the Redskins need this season. Then he'd be worth paying market value.

Yeah but market value will be higher than what they're balking at right now. Its the exact same thing as Cousins.

Well okay not exactly the same thing. I think Cousins had ...

Re: #7

Correct me if I'm wrong but only one Redskins number is retired, 33. They "protect" other numbers. While I understand 44, 28 , 81, 9 I never understood why 7 was and 11 and 17 weren't? If you're not going to protect 11 and 17 don't do it for 7!
