Re: Gameday thread - Redskins @ Panthers

I wonder why no one is calling for the Redskins to fire Joe Barry and hire Rob Ryan ...

They should have hired Wade Phillips! They had him in their lap with his son playing for us last year and Gruden picked Barry instead. That alone should be grounds for firing Gruden (as if they needed just ...

Re: Should the Skins re-sign Cousins....?

Look Gruden is going to be fired. Rg3 is not out of the picture. Gruden led teams are an embarrassment and his record is horrible. Cousins has four years of exactly the same thing: Inconsistent play and tons of picks and turnovers.

I like Kirk. He's a real decent guy, and a decent backup QB ...

Re: Should the Skins re-sign Cousins....?

Fire Gruden. The guy is overmatched. Hes ruined RG3. He took Garcon last year and nearly destroyed him. Hes trying to ruin Alfred Morris and He's ruining Kerrigan. Build around our Pro Bowl players not destroy them. This dud should not be in the NFL.

Quoted for truth! Gruden needs to be fired. I ...

Re: 10-Year Club

I joined in August 2003. I haven't posted much, and it's been a while since I even logged in so I missed this thread. I intend to log in more often though as we get closer to the end of this season as I believe some big changes are coming (hopefully) to the team.

*I* want to play for the Skins very badly. Unfortunately, they don't want me!

It's a business, and Gibbs/Snyder made their decision based on best player available at the time. Since Gibbs has slightly better credentials than I, I'll have to guess he knows better than I.

I agree with BH. Our D just got ***WAY*** better! Heck, I don't miss Chump any more! He can go to Denver with his ME attitude and we won't miss him a bit. As has already been stated, Gibbs excelled at finding rough gems in TEs and he'll do it again. We have some real talent at that position already ...

I think this was a GREAT pick! Heck .. it would've been great to have Winslow but I agree with the rest here. Dealing with the Postons was the variable that changed the decision. We got a great player in Taylor PLUS slapped the Postons at the same time. I like it.

I disagree. By all appearances, the team was improving. Where we faltered was in allowing our defense to go from #5 to #25 in one year! That was due to allowing Gardener and Wilkinson to go and having no viable replacements for them. That was also due to losing Marvin Lewis and replacing him with a ...

(BTW -- those posts were from me -- I wasn't logged in when I posted them)

I didn't say that we could do anything about the owner. I'm not stupid. I also don't have ~$1Billion laying around to buy the team.

I also think that you're giving too much credit to Snyder. You're in effect ...

I like Champ .. a lot. But he also screws up .. a LOT! He has moments of brilliance, but he has just as many moments of lapse. He often plays too soft and gets burned.

Re: Ballcoach on the hotseat?

Sports radio down here in Tampa is reporting that Spurrier is on the hot seat, already.

Don't believe everything you hear, boys and girls. We have a few more weeks to go before "Spurrier is in the hot seat!"

Feels like Snyderbrenner is messing with the team again. Why doesn't Danny Boy just ...
