I dont know if Torain carries much of a trade value. Maybe ARI would give us a 6th for him?

ARI deff needs a RB, maybe we send him there to negate the late rounder from the Hightower deal? I dont even know if you could do that with all the rules nowadays

OK, we all agree that we are not going to be bad enough to pick Luck on our own (except this guy), but what would you give up to move up to get him. Im thinking it would take our 1st rounder this year, 1st rounder next year and a 2nd this year. Does that sound accurate? Would you do it?

Vet - Just curious why your down on Buchanon? I know he had ups and downs, but I thought he had a pretty decent year last season.

I know he got benched 1 game, but I recall numerous games last year the announcers giving him preps as having a great game. I think he will and should be our #2 CB

Give him a shot....we are a REBUILDING team. REBUILDING teams dont pay 100 million dollars on 30 year old CBs....just saying

We need to get younger and figure out what we have in key spots. Barnes is one of those spots, we never gave Tryon a fair chance and now he is an solid starter out in IND ...

Im thinking you keep Macho Harris/Kareem Moore at FS to back up OJ, then Reed at SS to back up LL. THen probably keep Gomes (SS/CB) and Barnes (FS/CB) as CB help/Special teamers

FS - OJ Atogwe, Kareem Moore/Macho Harris, Kevin Barnes

SS - Laron Landry, Reed Doughty, Dejon Gomes.

I would ...

You might be able to make an argument for Reed, but it seems to me that these guys you mentioned ALL played FS and SS. IMO, we have a bunch of FS who we try to move to SS too. Reed is the only guy you could argue that plays SS similarly to LL (in the box)

Here are my grades..

1. Ryan Kerrigan - B+ He was the best OLB left on the board and I think he will be a solid player for the skins, not a star but very very solid

2. Jarvis Jenkins - B- I think we may have reached a little bit, and I would have rathered Marvel Austin at the time, but I think ...

I agree on all counts with this article. Im not trying to be a SHanny homer at all, but look at the facts.

1. He has brought a sense of discipline to a team that was listening to music during practices and skipping meeting the yr before.

2. He admits his mistakes (benching McNabb who got ...

Im going to have disagree with everyone here. Shanny was obviously looking for High Motor guys that fit the defensive scheme, and I think he found them.

Kerrigan - I think will be a pretty darn good starter
Jenkins - Will start at RDE next season
Hankerson - Will start at WR next yr
Helu - Will ...

UK - theres a chart in most free weight rooms in gyms that backs this up. I dont know if his specific example is correct, because I dont have the chart in front of me but I can attest that it does sound right. For example I know off the top of my head that 135 lbs (a 45 on each side) benched 10 ...

understandable, but what if he squats 1000 lbs and has solid technique, but is "soft" uptop and "only" does 17 reps @ 225. My point is that bench press has little to do with onfield production and everyone including commentators overhypes it, especially at the combine. There are other things that ...

I understand that everyone is enamored with the bench press, but why? I understand it for O Lineman (they use the same motion to pass block and its a good judgement of much weight they could "push"), but I dont see why its such a focus for other positions.

As a DE, you are trying to tie up ...

Vet - I understand what your saying, but for me our "marked improvement" is getting younger and finding potential solid starters, that in itself is an improvement over last year even if it does not show in the win/loss column.

I dont feel that a REBUILDING team should spend 100 million (you know ...

I don't want to resign moss but we need to sign somebody. We ignore receiver every year and think if we change qb's every five seconds the situation will improve.

That's really my POV, too, brad. I just think that Moss is the easiest option, not necessarily the best.

It would nice to bring him ...

Heres my take:

I resign Moss and team him with Hankerson, AA, Kelley and sign a veteran guy like Kevin Walter (knows kyles offense).

I let Brown go and pick up the Comp pick for him, then I sign Ryan Harris to play RT. At 25 ys old and with ZBS experience, it would give us our bookend tackles ...

Maybe Paea's knee injury was too big a risk foe them? I mean a large man coming off a substantial knee injury doesnt make my stomach sit too well either
