It's worth pointing out that Tennessee's front light was a bit on the 'light' side. All the beasts that used to play there -- Van den Bosch, the good Haynesworth, Kearse, etc. -- aren't there any more.

If they have to play as a unit next week, a couple of guys named Williams (or WILLAIMS) will ...

Snyder, please sell this franchise, you have destroyed it enough.

I'm afraid he'll own it as long as he draws breath.

There isn't going to be proof. But this will lead to the inevitable mistake on board such as this.

In a position A vs. position B discussion like this is, lack of proof of position B IS NOT proof of position A.

This team remains the punchline of the NFL. Same circus, different apparent ...

Every one of those bonuses and all the salary from 2011 on is terminable by the team's choice.

The only guaranteed in-your-pocket-now money is the $3.5M signing bonus.

In order to do what's right and take the "TEAR DOWN & REBUILD" approach, this team would have to pay the one thing it has shown in 11 seasons that it is unwilling to pay:

The price of time and patience.

The time needed to set up this franchise for a long-term run at playoff berths, division ...

I doubt it's a "we think he'll be our QB for 5 more years" contract.

Three is probably more like it.

But it's another head-scratcher from an organization that swore it was changing it's ways.

This don't fit with that.

But Vinny is still stuck making the mistake of analyzing what a player will do for you NOW by mentioning what he did in the past.

"Donovan's been to championship games" doesn't mean a hill of beans today. The QB that was able to lead his team to 5 straight NFC title games no longer exists.

Most of the players on the defense came out and said AH needed to be here and were, for the most part, supportive of Shanahan.

But he needs to make sure there's no fissure in the locker room over the Debacle in Detroit.

Do we buy into the belief that Shanahan is expecting the DC fandom to faithfully follow and accept his every word to the same level as it was accepted in Denver?

I'll always be against signing these types of attention seekers. All the way back to Deion.

His antics and lack of team-first mentality are non-starters to even considering him.

Bad scruples > whatever skills he might still have.

I thought this would be impossible but I believe Shanahan broke the record for Most Shame Caused to the Redskins Organization in a 24-Hour Period.

Now, he's not a candidate for the Cerrato Hall of Shame Fame quite yet, but this is beyond comprehension.

Here's the hitch in all this. Yes, it's banned. But the only proven test for it is a blood test and the union won't sign off on that.

There's 10,000 shades of grey through all of this and I doubt there's going to be a high enough level of proof to satisfy everyone.

But the NFL will do as it ...

CAN he do what he's doing? By all means, yes. That's what's in the CBA.

But the true price of team and individual success is going beyond the letter of the CBA.

I don't want players who hold too firmly to the dictionary definition of 'mandatory' and 'voluntary.' To me, they're just hiding ...

I think there needs to be some kind of hybrid that maintains the ...

Can they recoup that 2nd-rounder in any sort of JC deal? I don't see how Soup warrants a 2nd-round pick as compensation.

Also, CSN is already talking about a contract extension for McNabb is all but a given.

The best owners stay behind the scenes. The more public the owner is, the less he gets being an owner.
