On SI's Football page (http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/nfl/) this story has the following tag: "Super Bowl champs release veteran punter."

The Seattle Seahawks, loosers of Superbowl XL, were the one's who released their punter -- not the champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

The basic principle is that the passing game opens up the running game and vice versa. The key to any balanced attack is a high rate of agressive completions and keeping the clock moving with the run: ie: Air Coryell.

Nick Saban is one of the only coaches in the league that could take MV and turn him into a decent NFL QB -- that being said, they've got Culpepper and are moving for Harrington (hehe). I doubt MV will get anything more than reps with the practice squad even if he does make the team.

Unfortunately, none of the bullying folks (myself included) wish on him will ever happen. He's being sent to the Supermax prision in Colorado where he'll be alone 24 hours a day. Yes, he has one hour of "out time" every day, but it will be spent alone.
