Re: Suh for Orakpo

Orakpo just hasn't developed an arsenal of moves. Kerrigan leads the NFL in sacks. Maybe that will open things up for Rak. But, I've preferred Kerrigan for going on 3 years now.

Re: Morocco Brown Leaving Redskins for Browns

@Russellmania980: Morocco Brown's official title for the #Browns will be Vice President of Player Personnel. Not Assistant GM. He's 2nd in charge under Farmer
Doesn't really sound like it's any kind of real promotion. Maybe just a better title. Oh well, we can't know what's really going on behind ...

Re: Trent Murphy

Urlacher was a Safety in college. Trent Murphy fell to the late 2nd because he struggles in coverage. ILBs have to cover a lot more than OLBS in a 3-4....while it would be convenient to put him there, I don't think we will. And, if we did it would negate his ability to move forward (high motor) and ...

Re: Satisfied with our Draft Selections...?

The thing with Murphy is we can't keep everybody. It's always good to have a very talented player behind your starters. Look at the Ravens. When you run a 3-4 you have to have OLBS that can get to the QB. I

Re: Satisfied with our Draft Selections...?

I like the Murphy pick. We will have a hard time keeping Orakpo beyond this year if we plan to re-sign Kerrigan. You can never have too many pass rushers.

I found this pick rather strange. We have2 PB caliber starters & a solid back up in Jackson. It's too soon to give up on Jenkins.

I'm not ...

Re: Saturday Draft Selections

It's funny how many of these coaches and GM's say "we had Player X rated much higher & when they fell we had to take him"....but before the draft say "we stay true to our board and take the BPA" The two statements don't always match up.

Re: Saturday Draft Selections

Saw that Michael sams was drafted by St Louis in the 7th round. Too bad Redskins passed on him: SEC defensive player of the year ought to be a better than average player. Son lives near St Louis and daughter-in-law is a Mizzou grad. Son thinks that Sams lifted the entire Missouri defense. Maybe a ...

If he won the state in the 400 meters that may explain his slow 40 time. He's a buildup long speed guy.

Re: Friday night draft discussion

Friday was good. Bob's got to be happy.

Huge fan of the Moses pick. Not a big fan of the other two, particularly Spencer Long. Seemed like a big reach there. Very reminiscent of the LeRebius pick which hasn't worked out for us at all.

Actually I am okay with Long. Leribeus became what he was in ...

Re: Saturday Draft Selections

There are good players out there now. It's just a matter of when they contribute. Perry Riley was a 4th round pick. Barry Cofield, 4th round. Bowen....undrafted. Ryan Clark undrafted.

You can find guys that can be pieces to a good unit...just depends on how soon.

Re: Friday night draft discussion

Read on twitter that a scout was noted as saying that he projects out as a center and could has the skills to stay there for a LONG time. My thinking is they bring him in and see how he does. Move Litch back to LG, have Gettis or Lavao & cut Chester ($2.5+M savings). All this is pending if Long can ...

Actual Film Breakdown - Morgan Moses & Trent Murphy

This is actual film breakdown from a guy with some obvious football knowledge, but not a professional scout (to my knowledge). He narrates his breakdown and his understanding of the game is evident. I especially like his assessment of Murphy around the 3 minute mark when he shows a "Snatch Move" and ...

A guy breaking down some tape of Morgan Moses. It's his first time watching him. But, he explains what he's seeing with knowledge. Sounds like a definite jock though.

Re: Friday night draft discussion

Are there any solid CBs or Safeties still on the board?

For the most part, I'm not too familiar with this draft class (w/ the exception of a few players).

Jaylen Watkins the corner from Florida is still there. But, at this point, you've got guys from schools we never see. Mayock has a guy from ...
