Wjy is it that I've only noticed one bad apple among all these Bengals fans. Everyone else has had a lot of class. They know that both of these teams are bad and struggling. Well done to most of you Bengals fans that braved these waters. GG

Agreed, except for the guy who started this thread you ...

Re: Why we lost with Bengals

Ramsey did not start early enough to make a game making difference. (Remember, HE was the one that got us our 10 points, not Brunell) If Ramsey had started this game, I think we would've won for sure. Here's why: Marvin Lewis would have been afraid of putting too many players in the box because ...

No one put Santana in the top 5, but Santana and C. Johnson have similar numbers, as was pointed out in another thread.

Re: My one post on this subject

Gibbs already stated that he wouldn't put Ramsey even if we are out of contention.[/quote]

Why? I mean I know you guys are paying him a s!!t ton, but why wouldn't you make a switch if Brunell isn't getting it done?

I made my choices based on the 2004 season and the players that I think are the top 5
You can think what you want about Chad Johnson but I don't have to agree

Not a bad list but you have the wrong Johnson that should read Andre

Are you going to list yours, or just keep on telling me that Chad is not in the top 5?
I guess I have to spell it out for you
1.Randy Moss
2.Terrel Owens
3.Marvin Harrison
4.Torry Holt
5.Andre Johnson

Now do you understand ...

They had the number one overall pick. Were they going to draft a defensive end?

Do you have to draft a QB just because you have the #1 pick?

No, the O-Line isn't "pretty bad" we are having success running the ball. It's not the strongest unit on the team, but it's not the weakest either ...

Just wondering why you think Andre Johnson is better than Chad since you're so big on numbers?

Andre Johnson- REC:111 YDS:1,669 AVG:15.0 TD:8

Chad Johnson- REC:231 YDS:3,474 AVG:15.0 TD:18

There are many great receivers in the NFL, so I definately don't take offense if someone doesn't think Chad is a top 5 receiver. Plus Chad doesn't have the longevity, but after watching him play every week I think he is a top 5 receiver.

There are still many people who haven't been exposed to CJ ...

I thought that the Chargers gave up on him too soon and that they didn't need to draft a QB. Drew would be a good pick-up for anyone, but are you guys sure that your problem is the QB? Isn't your O-Line pretty bad? It's hard for a QB to suceed if he doesn't have time to throw.

Definately skill. The man is a beast! He's also got some luck on his side. He's lucky he was drafted by Pittsburgh. Talk about a rookie QB's dream.

Hines Ward has a rookie QB throwing to him. Johnson actually has a 2nd-year QB throwing to him. Yes, there is a difference, Palmer has been a pro for a year, and while not having the playing time makes him "like a rookie" in some respects, he has had much more time with the coaches and the playbook ...
