In my opinion, Golston and Montgomery will become our new interior d-line in the next 2-3 seasons, and they will dominate on one of our deep-playoff-to-Superbowl teams. Not bad for a 5th and 6th rounder.

I agree that Golston has a chance to be an anchor on the line, however, I disagree about ...

Does anyone know what the salary cap ramifications would be if we cut Brunell. It doesn't make much sense to me to keep Brunell (unless cutting him really hurts the cap) considering he's going to turn 37 during the season and will be coming off a serious shoulder injury. His arm strength was crap ...

Good find this kid is a stud. Hopefully no one has heard much of him and we can steel him in the second or third round.

Not likely. In his chat Mel Kiper Jr. predicts that he's going to be a top 10 pick.

Jamaal Anderson

This is the guy that we need to draft this year. He led the SEC in sacks with 11.5 and had 2 more in his bowl game. He is also very good against the run so imo he is a much better option that Gaines Adams. At 6'6 280 he also has very good size for the position and has excellent quickness as he ...

That being said. If Brunell comes back, the ONLY time he should ever be playing in a regular season game is if JC is injured.

I'd rather see Randle El play qb.

Why?

Snyder, right or wrong, is profit driven. He heads a team with the most revenue and bends and breaks to the maximum to sign any player and coach he can. In return he has a 10 year waiting list, which is down from the 20 year one from RFK because Fedex field is bigger. How does that lead to ...

From Redskins.com.....

Quarterback Mark Brunell underwent successful surgery for a labrum repair in his left shoulder on Monday, the team has announced.

Brunell, who is left-handed, suffered the injury in Week 2 at Dallas.

No it doesn't. Even in "soccer", where players are the most self absorbed ego junkies on the planet, they stay on the pitch long enough to shake the hands of their opponents. Sure, there are exceptions, but on this side of the Atlantic, we know them as bad sportsmen and nothing else.

Yea in ...

Betts is amazing and was really starting to show his true potential. Did he remind any of you of someone. (HInt) DESIEL

The only thing "amazing" about Betts is the number of times that he fumbles.

He is NOT a nice guy. After the game, he went directly the locker room. He did not shake anyone's hand and did not congratulate the Seahawks. That is about the worst thing he could have done. If he's going to be a paid athelete he needs to be able to lose and he showed he cannot do that. Hope he ...

How many fumbles per carry does Portis have as opposed to Betts? That is a stat I would care about. TD's per carry wouldn't be a bad one either.

Portis for his career has 1385 carries and 158 receptions with 56 td's and 16 fumbles. Therefore Portis fumbles once every 96 times that he touches ...

Ok, so basically you are saying that jason campbell is the best quarterback in the league and that when he is in the game the other team feels the need to double cover every receiver, and that is much more important to them then stopping the runningback that is trampling their asses.

And i don't ...

Those aren't excuses, they're facts. In all your posts about Betts I also haven't seen you be able to refute any of those statements.

The .6 difference in ypc is just as important as any of those stats except maybe the fumbles.

Portis also constantly faced 8 and 9 man fronts, played with an ineffective qb and a terrible passing game, had Saunders calling different types of runs for him than he did for Betts, and had an oline ...

How does that make him more likely to be healthy in the future? In 2005 he was very banged up at the end of the season, and he couldn't stay on the field in 2006. I'm not trying to knock Portis, but only two 16 game seasons out of five isn't that impressive. Although I'm more than willing to ...

Another negative about this trade.....Bly is going to be 30 at the start of next season, Portis will be 25 and turning 26 during the season. The last thing that this team needs to do is get older during the offseason. I remember reading that we were the oldest team in the NFL this season.

Really?? Personally I love the guy. He was a great player for us and he's entertaining on tv and the radio, and always tells it like it is and doesn't hold back. Why do you think that he's a piece of crap?

Who's at 2 that won't be there at 6 Question

Exactly what I was thinking. At #2 you have to think that either Quinn, Thomas (OT from Wisco), Calvin Johnson, and Adrien Pettersen are the 4 that are likely going to go at that spot. If we are trying to draft for defensive help in the first round ...

Count me as intrigued. Portis is a true gamer, but we I don't see the point of having him and Betts when we have so many holes on defense. A third round pick, Dre Bly and a four spot upgrade isn't terrible return for an oft-injured tailback with 1385 carries under his belt.

Betts averaged 4.7 a ...

Worst part was all 4 of them thought that the Super Bowl will be the Eagles and the Ravens. I will not be able to watch. I hate BOTH of those teams. I sure hope they are all wrong on THAT prediction!!!

That would be even worse than the Giants/Ravens Super Bowl.

Honestly, if CP got traded, I think both Moss and ST would ask to be traded...

My friend and I were actually talking about that after Portis' interview on 980 and I think that you may be right about them asking for trades or to be released if he got traded.
