The team didn't live up to expectations, but when Job Gibbs took over we were actually IN BETTER SHAPE than we are now.
In better shape how? The Redskins had established a dynasty of losing--they were a completely dysfunctional team that was often not even competitive. Am I the only one that ...

How's the weather looking? Was -8F here this morning - love seeing Football played in that kinda weather. It just adds to the enjoyment for me for some reason.
Cold, but not that cold, low 28, and clear early with clouds coming in overnight is what they're saying. Too bad they didn't play last ...

We'll win this game because we get TWO critical players back this week: Sellers and Thomas. Not having Sellers was what cost us the game on Sunday. No running game = no win.

Sorry, I didn't realize BH would have to change them back. I didn't know that the personalized ones worked that way.

Great idea BH.

In addition, what if everyone changed their avatars to #21 for a couple of days? It would be a nice tribute to see as many #21s as possible all across the site. (A lot of people have done this already.)

I was really disappointed with the terrible playcalling by Gibbs. He should have called a draw play on that 3rd at 10 at the end. It would have gone for ten at least and, more importantly, would have avoided the interception. (Just kidding.)

I know, I know, everyone thinks the playcalling was atrocious. And this view is compounded by what everyone thinks was terrible playcalling at the end of the Giants game (even though that was a case of poor execution). Maybe I'm crazy but I just think that you can call a brilliant game and still ...

My understanding of the arrangement with Saunders and Gibbs is that anything within the red zone is filtered through Gibbs.
So the plays go from Saunders to Gibbs to JC in the red zone? And then from Saunders to JC otherwise? Has this been confirmed? And do you think that Gibbs is overruling ...

This is a well reasoned and well written analysis. However, I'd like to take issue with a couple points.

First, Al Saunders calls the plays, not Gibbs. In my opinion, the fact that Gibbs is defending that draw play is a dead giveaway--if he had called that play, then he would have taken ...

Well, they might as well fire Al Saunders. This is their way of saying Al Saunders' offense does not work.
Exactly right. Saunders is now out of the loop it seems, thank God! Hopefully, this means Gibbs will take over the playcalling. I know a lot of people on this board don't feel that way, and ...

And in order to answer the original question:

What offense works without a decent OL?

The obvious answer is NONE. Their OL and DL dominated ours and rest was history.
Gibbs and Saunders are trying to compensate for the OL--short passes, wide receiver screens, running the ball. The problem is ...

Right, but in the example I gave, and its relevant to this discussion, the Yankees would have to mount a 16 run comeback in order to have won that game, which would be the largest comeback in baseball history. And that was before the 6 run ninth inning. So are you suggesting the Indians were ...

Running up the score is classless. The game was over. Going for it on fourth down is a big eff you to the Skins. It is a move that is meant to humiliate and embarrass the opposition and has nothing to do with winning the game. The game was already won. Obviously, the players did exactly what they ...

I couldn't even start any players that play against the Redskins in my fantasy football league. Not one. It's bad enough I have to have Jason Witten on my team. Ugh!

I have no idea how people pick the Redskins to lose in a pool--especially on a week like this!!

This loss was the best possible thing that could have happened to the Redskins this week. Up 17-3, 2-0 on the season, these guys had already started believing the hype. If we had held on to win, the players would have treated this bye week as an extended vacation and the entire season would have ...

Keys:

1. Get the early lead. If we go down early and have to throw the ball, Campbell may try to force it. Turnovers on the road would kill us.

2. Contain Westbrook. The DEs need to keep containment and not let Westbrook (and McNabb) get outside or cut back across the field for the big play ...
