i think the denver system is now in atlanta...

alex gibbs is having an effect on the falcons line too... warrick dunn is ripping it up this year... i think shanny is missing the other gibbs... (alex)

Gibbs was brought in after Shanahan's system was in place. Terrell Davis had already ran for a ...

My thoughts are that Denvers system is pretty good. I don't consider it great, like many others do. They have a very good cohesive OLine. Terrell was a stud in a good system with a great QB and a very good OLine. Gary and Anderson were barely above average backs in a good system with a very good ...

Re: enough with the Denver System

just because the Broncos have had great backs over the years, people just try to blame it on the system. They say the players are overated, well actually the SYSTEM is overrated! Terrell Davis is one of the greatest backs of all time, just think if he had not got hurt... Mike Anderson is a wannabe ...

Washington is the # 3 ranked defense without Champ and last year with him, we were #25. Denver was the 4th ranked defense last year, so adding Lynch and Champ has helped, but they were already good.

Do you think Denver's woes on offense could have anything to do with trading 1500 yards to the ...

Last time I checked the broncos had a pretty good defense before Champ got there and lets not forget that the also added Lynch to the secondary. As far as portis goes if there is no hole you cant run simple as that. Other than the fumbles I think he has done a pretty good job with what he has to ...

Hey Elgay07, I've been wondering where you were when Quentin was fumbling and tripping over his own two feet. Sure he had a great game against KC, but who doesn't?

Then Droughens runs right through the 31st ranked Carolina run defense. Again, who doesn't?

Then you have the nerve to brag about ...

CLANG!!! My ears still hurt from all the noise from Champ's hands on the little curl he ran last weekend. Plummer hit him right in the hands. Tell Champ to keep using those hands for all those great tackles and not trying to be a WR.

LOL, I do not agree with Bailey playing offense. It is too ...

Next time you talk to champ, ask him how he got his face lacerated last year, oh yeah, it was by "tripping" and falling and getting kicked in the face as the reciever ran in for a td. We have smoot, who needs champ.

Well, thank you Smoot. I don’t think you understand, I am happy with your ...

who got smoked by another ROOKIE receiver a couple weeks ago.

What rookie it that? Clayton? Come'on man, Champ was tripped up by Clayton off the line of scrimage. If anything that was offensive PI, if you ask me. However its your story, pal, tell it how ever you want to tell it, if that makes ...

Wow, this has to be one of the best trades in Broncos’ history. I can not think of another time where Denver got so much, and yet gave so little. Ah, the Elway trade surpasses this deal. So buck up skins fans, Baltimore traded John Elway for Jonny Morton! So your little team is second in Bronco ...

That wasn't the question! But KC has a crap run D & if you have to go there, look at how many yards our D gave up, then look at how many Denvers gave up, unless you think Champ shouldn't help stop Priest Holmes![/quote]

You really have no idea what you are talking about. Shanahan, much to the ...

Skins75,

Another thing, Portis was doing the same thing, however he did not see Denver trading him. He thought Shanahan would be force to the table, and then to shell out all that coin. He suffered whip lash when it was report on ESPN that Denver was in the mix for Bailey. Portis had TWO! years ...

1niksder,

Man you have way too much information for me to decipher this late on Friday. However, I want to tell you, Mike Anderson after his rookie season was moved to full back, Anderson became the starter, for one year, after Gary was hurt in a preseason game. Meanwhile, Gary then was trades as ...

LMAO! You cannot sit a d-back on an island and expect him to cover a receiver without a pass rush. Shutdown corners are enablers to great defenses because they not only lock down a receiver but also expands the defensive playbook and creates options to freeing up others in order to stuff the run ...

Wow, you have called me out on the carpet, and I feel a little embarrassed—Are you kidding me?
First off, 1487--that was a typo, secondly, genius, Anderson was the starting tailback for 1 season--which goes to tell you that his rookie season is very close to Portis’ rookie season (20 something ...

..well, i guess we'll see who got the best end of the trade in the next couple years...BUT i guarantee you that there are more skins fans that are happy with trade than bronco fans...remember we got shawn springs and portis for less $$$$ than you guys are paying chump...i say that gives the early ...

Another thing, if you would have watched the Bronco v. Bills preseason last weekend. You would have saw Bledsoe not even look at Bailey, and the coverage scheme in the middle and opposite side forcing him to take more time to make sure his 2nd and 3rd receiver were not in double or even triple ...

Wow some much crap to respond to I am a bit dizzy. Let me give it a shot.

1) Oh yeah I am questioning Gibbs, when he tries to use the coounter-tre with Portis, or thinks he is going to use Portis to rush the football more than 18 carries a game. Obviously, either Gibbs has lost his mind, or that ...

Man, why do you have to bring up old crap? And if Gibbs plans on using Portis the counter-tre, Portis will not rush for 1500. Portis is a runner that hits the whole fast and then breaks outside. Shanahan tried to change him when he was making 400K, do you think Gibbs is going to change him now ...

Clinton Portis is a product of a system that produced 4 different 1200 or more yard rushers in 9 straight years, and yet you pay 50 mil, to an undersized, 18-carry, injury prone running back!!!! Good move.
