why should it be far-fetched? if a team wants to use a 2nd round pick on a WR, they could either use it in the draft and wait 2-4 years for him to develop into a real contributor, or trade that same pick for a young but experienced WR who could contribute immediately and still has most of his ...

QB Kurt Warner will be a free agent now that he's voided the remainder of his contract. He wants to start -- not that I want him as a starter in DC but do you think he'd make a decent backup??? I mean, where on earth does he think he can have a starting role at?? Cleveland? Maybe Greenbay if Brett ...

There's a reason he's doing that, ya dumb freaks

Right, that would be a 6-10 season. That's the reason. How could I just not see that. Oh wait, let me continue -- as I read the stat sheet, he has the worst QB rating among current starting QB's this season. Screw Christmas, Vinny is the reason ...

Re: What is the job of a head coach?

If we hire an offensive coordinator, what will Gibbs main job be? If he doesn't call any plays will he basically just be in charge of making the rules in the lockerroom and schedule practices? What will his job be?

Head coach always makes the final decisions. O-Coordinator calls the plays, but ...

Re: WE SUCK

Can we not move the ball, stop them we need to. I'm sorry but we just plain out SUCK. In F.A. look to upgrade T.E., WR, and D.L.

I don't think FA is going to help -- it hasn't done us much good the past few times Danny stepped out and paid millions for garbage players. Yea, we need to pick up a ...

This is becoming downright pathetic. I think Joe Gibbs was a phenomenal coach -- could still be today. But he's certianly not proving it. Our O-Line aren't the Hogs, not even the Miss Piggys if you ask me. They plain suck.

Our running game is weak. Portis may have 1200 yards -- but what to show ...

Wow, this is going really far. Never, ever, did I put Danny W or Heath Shuler in line with our former greats.

And by the way, I watched Joe's first tenure, too. I, as well, remember when Joe was the O-Coordinator in SD. I also happen to remember the tail end of Don Breaux's QB career there too ...

ScottSkins: Gibbs brings in average QBs or young QBs and molds them into quality starters.

Are we talking about the same Joe Gibbs? Joe like veteran leadership. Why do you think Brunnel started this season as long as he did. Wow, Joe Gibbs want young QB's. What's next? Does Joe Gibbs employ a ...

Who on earth ever said anthing about undermining a starter? Not me. A little competition is generally good for the team. Secondly, no one stays healthy all season. While a backup is there for only a couple games every season, you want to win those too.

The Pigeons will do the same thing they do every year: Make it to a big, nationally televised game (like the NFC Division or even a Sunday night game against the lowly but returning Redksins) and then play like a bunch of pansies. Heaven help them should TO get "TKO'd" by our D-Fense this weekend.

Ol' Danny Boy may no longer be the long arm of the law but he still holds the purse strings. And in case you didn't notice, Gibbs has never had a problem with two starting QB's. Kitna would definately make a great number 2 guy. He's solid and would definately be a starter in many other franchises. Off Season QB Free Agents

Is anyone else looking at some potential free agent QB's to back up PRam next season? While I like Brunell, he doesn't seem to click with this offense. Would it be a terrible thing to look at Warner or Bledsoe (seeing as his future with the Bills is all but over)?

Brunell. Ramsey is in his rookie season of learning an NFL offense. That, and all the damage that SOS did to this kid's psyche and confidence, makes him hardly the choice to be the best QB for this team.

Damaged psyche? A lack of confidence can never make up for the complete inability to make ...

Traitor? Only to his beloved college football fans, who saw him turn in a great CF career for the "glamour" of the NFL.

Spurrier is a traitor -- plain and simple. The difference between a coach and great coach isn't the playbook, it's the desire for a win and a heart for his team (ie. Coach ...

Brunell tried the fade to Coles twice -- once he threw out of bounds and the other Coles just didn't catch. All said, he looked well and read the Broncos blitz schemes like a book.

Ramsey looked like a scared school-girl in the pocket. Last year everyone blamed the dubious "Fun & Gun" offense ...

Ol Vinny's been around the block and is a fine QB. The only problem is that neither of his backups have yet to take an NFL snap. At his age, Vinny can't weather a whole season on his own so I'm seeing the Cowpukes third or fourth in the NFC East.

3TD/6INT & 719 yards was an outstanding option for Spurrier? I think "outstanding" may be a little too strong of a word.

Re: '04 Preview: Mark Brunnell

Brunell brings talent, experience and a winning attitude to the Redskins.

When was the last time we saw all three of those traits in a 'Skins QB? I can't even express how glad I am that Dan gave up on failing, overpaid talent (a-la Deion Sanders, Danny Wuerffel, Tony Banks). Gibbs has a great ...
