For the third consecutive season, the Washington Redskins will not receive any compensatory picks in the upcoming 2015 NFL Draft.<\/p>\n
The NFL announced the 32 compensatory picks on Monday night, and not surprisingly Washington didn’t receive any. Last year’s signing of Jason Hatcher negated all losses.<\/p>\n
Under the rules, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. The number of picks a team receives equals the net loss of compensatory free agents up to a maximum of four.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Cincinnati Bengals: 3rd round (99), 4th round (135)<\/p>\n
San Francisco 49ers: 4th round (132), 7th round (254)<\/p>\n

The Redskins have only received 12 picks in the history of the system – third least in the league. Again, not all that surprising given the Redskins propensity to make moves during the free agency period. They aren’t likely to get any next year either, as the signings of Chris Culliver and Stephen Paea will likely whipe out the loss of Brian Orakpo to the Titans.<\/p>\n
