The woman&#8217;s death is now under active investigation by local authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What We Know About the Incident<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Loudoun County Sheriff\u2019s Office, the woman\u2014identified as Julia Crabbe\u2014was taken to the Inova Emergency Room\u2013Ashburn HealthPlex around 1:30 a.m. on November 14. Hospital staff described her as unconscious and unresponsive. She was later pronounced dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sources say Crabbe had been at Nicholson\u2019s Ashburn home earlier that night. At some point she collapsed. Instead of calling 911 from the house, Nicholson and a second man drove her to the nearby medical facility. Detectives are still working to determine the exact timeline and circumstances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nicholson is cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed at this time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Redskins Organization Responds<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The team released a short statement on Thursday:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe\u2019ve been made aware of the tragic event and extend our deepest sympathies to the family who lost a loved one. Our team has alerted the league office and is cooperating with local authorities. We fully support law enforcement and respect their process as they investigate the matter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nicholson did not practice with the Redskins on Thursday. He had already been sidelined by an ankle injury in recent weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prior Incident Involving Nicholson<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is not the first time the safety has faced legal scrutiny in Loudoun County. In December 2018, Nicholson was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault and public intoxication after a fight outside a bar in Ashburn. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tmz.com\/watch\/1-5xlhfuk1\/\">Video of the altercation<\/a> circulated online. Those charges were later dropped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Investigation Continues<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Authorities searched Nicholson\u2019s home as part of the probe. Detectives are examining what happened in the hours before Crabbe was taken to the hospital and whether any criminal activity occurred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Julia Crabbe was only 21 years old. Her family is grieving a sudden and heartbreaking loss. The Ashburn and Reston communities are left with difficult questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The death remains an active investigation.
