The Washington Commanders officially unveiled their new alternate uniforms for the 2025 NFL season today. They\u2019re already making waves among fans. In a nostalgic nod to the franchise\u2019s Super Bowl era, the new look pays homage to the team\u2019s late ’80s and early ’90s success. Most of it accomplished with stripes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Washington has had a pair of polarizing rebrands over the last few years. The first came when the Redskins moniker was done away<\/a> with in favour of the temporary “Washington Football Team.” Then again in 2022 when they became the Commanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The changes in name came with new uniforms. While there were similarities to the classic burgundy and gold, they still felt very different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On Wednesday, the Commanders unveiled new alternate uniforms. They look much more like the old guard. Fitting given that today is the franchise’s 93rd birthday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
