Washington has reportedly dumped seven-year Washington veteran Morgan Moses. Moses was given permission to seek a trade this week, but having found no suitors, will officially be released<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Moses started 97 games for the WFT, after originally being drafted in the third round out of Virginia in 2014. He wasn’t always dependable, but he grew to be dependable.\u00a0Moses had arguably his best season at right tackle in 2020.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The chatter is that by saving the $7.735 million they will save against this year’s cap by cutting Moses, they will be able to re-sign Jonathan Allen.<\/p>\n

Washington drafted tackle Samuel Cosmi with their second pick in this year’s draft, and also signed Charles Leno from the Chicago Bears. That made Moses expendable, or at least, too expensive.<\/p>\n

Geron Christian got some flowers today too. The third-year offensive lineman started six games for Washington last season before being replaced by Cornelius Lucas.<\/p>\n

Washington also has last year’s fourth round pick Saahdiq Charles, who spent last season on injured reserve.<\/p>\n
