It’s the time of the football season where rosters are full to their 90-man capacity. Often an addition means a subtraction. Today Washington announced that they had signed linebacker Joe Walker, and released linebacker Josh-Harvey Clemons.<\/p>\n

Washington General Manager Martin Mayhew is familiar with Walker, as both were with the San Francisco 49ers in 2020. The fifth year linebacker out of Oregon played special teams and saw action in twelve games.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Originally a seventh round pick of the Philadelphia Eagles in 2016, Walker also spent time with the Arizona Cardinals. In 2019, he appeared in all 16 games, and started ten. He had 65 tackles, and a forced fumble. <\/p>\n

2021 Washington Football Team Free Agent Additions<\/a><\/p>\n

Harvey-Clemons was drafted by Washington in the seventh round of the 2017 draft. He and his sons both have asthma, so he was one of two Washington players to opt out of the 2020 season due to COVID. He is the second of those two players to be relieved of duty before taking a snap for Ron Rivera. <\/p>\n

The fifth-year linebacker out of Louisville appeared in 35 games for the Washington Football Team. He registered 40 tackles and 1.5 sacks in his three seasons.<\/p>\n
