The Washington Football Team won their third straight game to move to 5-6, and into the NFC Wild Card picture. Washington’s narrow 17-15 victory<\/a> over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night came right down to the wire.<\/p>\n

Seattle had the opportunity to tie the game in the waning moments, but Kendall Fuller intercepted the two-point conversion that could have evened the score.<\/p>\n

Washington’s cause was further aided by a penalty on the following kickoff, that negated a successful Seattle onside kick.<\/p>\n

Ultimately, Washington were the better team on the night. They dominated the time of possession by over 23 minutes!!<\/p>\n

Still, perhaps the way the game ended was the inspiration for the dire nature of these gems.<\/p>\n

Completely Dominated<\/h2>\n

Sadly, much of Monday night\u2019s 17-15 loss to the WFT was all too familiar \u2014 an inept offense, a defense that played its heart out but was just pliable enough to let a not-great offense move enough to win it.<\/p>\n

While the last drive made it dramatic, it shouldn\u2019t be lost that until then the Seahawks had been completely dominated.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And…<\/p>\n

But for most of the game\u2019s 60 minutes, this was just a ill-designed team playing poorly.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Picking Up The Pieces<\/h2>\n

Their only hopes hinged on getting to 4-7 and then going on a huge run after that. Well, that did not happen on Monday Night Football\u2018s Seahawks-WFT matchup and now star quarterback Russell Wilson and head coach are left picking up the pieces of a team that is heading towards a crossroads. One path sees these two give it one more shot as a duo and the other most likely sees Carroll replaced or Wilson traded.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
