There isn’t really a sure fire way to wipe the bad taste out of your mouth from a humiliating 38-14 loss to the Dallas Cowboys – especially when it puts the nail in the playoff hunt coffin.<\/p>\n

Seemed appropriate to celebrate the past glory with nothing left to play for this year, but pride.<\/p>\n

So today’s wallpaper is “The Diesel” John Riggins<\/a>. One of the most colorful characters to ever don the burgundy and gold, and one of the best football players too.<\/p>\n

A Redskin from 1976 to 1985, Riggins’ career was highlighted by his Super Bowl MVP in 1982, and his All Pro selection and beefy 24 touchdowns in 1983. At the time, nobody had ever run for even 20 rushing touchdowns in a season. Riggo was enshrined in the NFL Hall of Fame in Canton in 1992.<\/p>\n
